Thursday busted capillary day

Since we’re talking moms…mine spent the night in the hospital. Hemoglobin levels were dangerously low. Had to get two blood infusions and stay overnight for observation. I feel sorry for the nurse in charge. Now we get to find out why it was low in the first place.

I mean, unless you want to pay people to deep clean every single piece of foodstuff at multiple times during harvest, processing, packaging, etc., having incidental amounts of those sorts of "contaminants" is unavoidable.

It's like the concept of "fresh" water.

Water that's been on the planet for millions of years, and been shit and pissed out of men and animals forever.
 
Son's boss was sick for a couple of weeks and passed it on to my kid. Boss' test came back positive. Kid's probably got the Rona but hasn't been tested for it. He's been shot up and is still going to work with minor symptoms. Says he has trouble smelling things.

Fortunately for the wife and I we were out of town this weekend (we normally see the kids then) and hadn't had contact with him since the middle of last week.

Probably, but what’s causing that? My sister is freaked out because when her son was diagnosed with anemia several years ago, they discovered that the underlying cause was leukemia (he’s cancer-free now).

Fingers crossed it's nothing major and easily fixed.

Mom got a nosebleed that wouldn’t stop. Took her to ER and she had a capillary deep in her nasal cavity that wouldn’t stop bleeding. They inserted a balloon thingie up her nose and inflated it. The worst part was she was swallowing blood for a long time. When she finally threw up, it was like a scene from a horror movie. 4 massive blood barfs that I wish I had not witnessed. She gets ballon tube thing taken out Friday. If that didn’t solve problem, then they have to cauterize the capillary.

If that doesn't solve the problem, they definitely need to check on her platelet counts.
