I've been doing bacon in the oven. A lot less splatter and it cooks nice and even. I am a fan.

I do like pan cooked as well though...can't do bacon in a cast iron though...the pan just gets too hot and the bacon shrivels down to nothing.

Good morning.

Cooked up my first steak in an iron skillet last night.

10/10 will do again. Maybe tonight.
havent gone with a skillet because my current setup is electric and i figure it'd scratch/mess it up, but i did break out my oster griddle to do up some ribeyes the other week. took a lot longer than it's estimated times, but was able to clean it all up with just a paper towel.

This took me 5 minutes. Reminded me of Black Rock, a restaurant here in Detroit. Your steak is cooked at your table on this ultra hot black rock. Apparently they keep the rocks heated. You throw your steak on it and it immediately sizzles up. I pre heated my skillet and got a similar result. Pretty cool.

Curlfing team went 2-0. including a dramatic come from behind win vs the team in 1st place. We started the night in third place, so depending on how 2nd place team did, we're either now in 2nd place or in 1st due to tie breakers. I still suspect blowing 3 point lead in final end few weeks back will haunt us from being b2b winter league champions.

I do pan fry when I get low on bacon fat in my fridge. I like to cook my eggs and just about everything in bacon fat.
