Titantic Claims 5 more?

Can we have a show of hands of those who are sick of the ongoing sensationalism of this tragedy by the media?

If anyone has their hand down...

can we also have a show of hands of those who are sick of seeing James Cameron exploiting this for airtime?

That tank imploded under one atmosphere of pressure....the sub imploded under about 350 atmospheres of pressure....

It was a horrible design to begin with. The titanium end capes were bolted onto another titanium ring that was "glued" to the carbon fiber shell that made up the pressure chamber for the passengers. This is comparable to gluing plastic end caps on an empty cardboard tube from a paper towel roll and then stepping on the center of the cardboard tube. One of the end caps will pop right off. This is likely what happened after viewing the recovered debris from the Titan.

There's just something intriguing about people being instantly turned into human salsa.

This did kind of become 2023's version of the OJ trial. You couldn't go anywhere that people weren't talking about it.

Are you sure they were all pompous?
The dude that built and piloted the tin can damn sure was. Dropping a quarter mil each to go exploring is a pretty pompous action. A man is defined by his actions, so I say 'yes'.

I just feel bad for the 19 year old who was basically dragged into going by his father.

Is that what happened? Did I miss that? Where did that info come from?

What I heard the other day was that the mother was slated to go but gave the "seat" to her son because he really wanted to go.

I heard that he went just because his father really wanted to do it together.

Why do you consider spending your own money pompous? Sounds to me like the words of a jealous man.

What you spend your own money on reflects pompousness.
