Well that's certainly one way to look at it!
But....
How should the mother/wife remember her suddenly deceased son and husband in their last moments alive?!?!
Do you think she should be remembering their last breaths by pondering the son scared out of his wits and the fact he was only onboard because his father wanted him to be there with him on Father's day...only for both to then be killed because of it!
That she did not say he was indeed scared is understandable in light of the fact he is now dead. What purpose would that serve her to pubically expose an ugly truth.
This is not really that difficult to understand. Not sure why some can't see the obvious.....
