Titantic Claims 5 more?

The carbon fiber came from Boeing. Boeing no longer had use for it as it was passed its date allowed for aircraft. The vessel was experimental and only certified to a depth of I believe 4,000 FT. Titanic is down to 12,500 feet. The pressure is something like 6,000 PSI. Someone who went on a previous trip heard cracking coming from the hull. Another time they had issues releasing the weights that allowed the vessel to come back to the surface. The whole thing was a disaster waiting to happen.
Yeah, my wife told me the thing about the carbon fiber. Apparently Boeing did not formally partner with OceanGate and has since disavowed anything related to the sub. It appears that, some Boeing employees may have acted as consultants on the design, but because of the homemade nature of the sub, the person most familiar with the totality of its design is the dead CEO. No one wants to believe that the thing was an expensive venture designed to gouge rich tourists out of millions, but that the submarine was never tested or certified by anything close to a professional diving organization was a massive clue.

Apparently they should have watched the original version of Western World

One of the former employees of Oceangate became a whistle-blower and was fired. The owner brushed off safety concerns in the name of innovation. He can put himself at risk.if he wants to but not others

In the early fog of reporting, a lot was made of the waiver that prospective tourists had to sign -- basically telling you that the submersible was unregulated, untested, experimental and that there was a substantial possibility of death. This was used as justification for why a lawsuit was unlikely against OceanGate. Then it came out later that the sub was largely homemade, and that the organizations cited as 'partners' on building the sub: The University of Washington, Boeing, NASA, had little or nothing to do with the design and testing of the sub.

This CEO was a major greedy asshole. It wasn't innovation so much as the desire for profit.

If he’d charged a million bucks per person and let one of the passengers control the thing, I could see greed being something to focus on.

Hard for me to do that when he went on nearly every individual dive. Cutting his revenue 20% in the process. Said anyone could control it, but almost always was the one in charge. Greed doesn’t necessitate risking your life, at a significantly smaller profit.

He lost a ship, as its captain, the same way Ed Smith did. In the same place. Because he was fully committed to his voyage and arrogant as fuck.

The sentence was death. And it happened to be served at the exact same moment that his arrogance led to recklessness, that got others killed.

That tank imploded under one atmosphere of pressure....the sub imploded under about 350 atmospheres of pressure....
You probably do understand it but there are issues with these explanations. It’s all about the difference in pressure, not the “atmosphere” on one side. That was a lot more that 1 atmosphere of differential pressure..

This is comparable to gluing plastic end caps on an empty cardboard tube from a paper towel roll and then stepping on the center of the cardboard tube. One of the end caps will pop right off.
Naw. The pressure is evenly applied by the ocean all around it. Not focused in the center.

You are talking to a structural engineer. I don’t need you to explain anything about it to me. Now fuck dummy.

Not a very good one, apparently.
You were too dumb to understand what I posted and tried to "correct" what you were too stupid to comprehend. Now fuck off dummy.

@Bayou Tiger process:
1. Claim to be an engineer
2. Provide dumb info for non-engineers to spread to their friends
3. Get mad when called out for spewing nonsense
4. Watch team lose 4 full seasons for cheating
5. Fucks his cousin

Go "Google" the properties of a sphere versus a tube you ignorant hillbilly. Then maybe you may begin to understand the "simple" concept I described in the post you decided to show how stupid you actually are. Sucks to be you retard. You are simply too dumb to comprehend what was posted so now you strike out in anger. Maybe I'll come back later if I'm bored and skull drag your stupid ass all over this forum for all to laugh at....keep it up retard, you've been warned!

Someone been reading Wikipedia and is here to school us…

“Der der der and that was only under 1 atmosphere!”

Didn't it blow the ends off ???

Yes, just as I described and that dumb fuck Gaytor fan is too stupid to comprehend. He thinks the rail road tank that was filmed imploding was done under more than one atmosphere. He's that dumb! Der....derp! What a fucking knucklehead!

How many atmospheres was it conducted under then shit for brains?

Come tells us all how many atmospheres were present in the filming of the tank car imploding shit for brains fucking @Gaytorchump !

send me the info about the experiment, and I can perform unit conversion for the "engineer" who doesn't understand differential pressure.

You are too stupid shit for brains. You've proven that without a doubt you dumb piece of shit. Like I said earlier dumbass, You are simply too stupid to realize what I was explaining. Fuck off dummy! You are not smart enough to even pick on....that's how stupid you actually are!

It's in the video your dumbass didn't have an IQ sufficient enough to comprehend you shit for brains!

In the video they give the pressure....it's equivalent to one atmosphere of pressure...that you didn't know that proves you are simply too dumb to know what was being discussed. But as usual for you Floridian assholes, you thought you knew better, better even than a licensed structural engineer. You only embarrass yourself everytime you "highlight" your stupidity and lack of understanding. What a knucklehead you turned out to be.
