I put in people's picks, then dump in wikipedia data, move the Wiki data to columns, then vlookup. I try to double check for spelling errors up front, but some slip through.
vlookup date of death. I never would have thought about using the wiki data. Nifty.
I match name on the list to wiki names, then pull back ages. My pivot is the poster, celeb name, confidence points, and then age. It can be a pain in the balls dealing with typos or with royalty titles.
I'd be inclined to set up a simple database. Chosen names in a table with 1 to many to a table with the selecting posters.

The trick is pulling in the continuing death dates to keep current.

If that didn't work, I'd try something else.
I could probably try and figure out how to do API calls to Wiki to update the database, but I'm not that level of nerd.
