tOfficial ACC Doomsday thread

I’m wondering if opening the tv contract up to add teams in any way voids the current GoR? I imagine not or the ACC wouldn’t be doing this but is this a way for FSU to realistically leave on the cheap?

I think those analysts talking about 6 teams are dead wrong. Here is an excerpt from GOR about amending it. It has to be unanimous. This is clear and I don't think there is a way around it.

This dude has been extremely accurate during all of this

It fits better than the B12, but the closest school is Louisville

Jesus...

Logistics are terrible for Stanford/Cal but they are desperate. Logistics aren't that bad for everyone else. Each sport is just having one trip out there a year. You can play them both while you're out there.

Notice he didn't say that Clemson and FSU were leaving. He said he was hearing rumblings. He is extremely accurate in this. We have all heard the rumblings.

On a side note, if they do both leave then the payout per remaining ACC school should increase to around 6mm per year. Because they aren't getting out of GOR.

Next into the ACC, Hawaii!
Ok, I'm for this

At this point I don't even care.

I guess the ACC leadership knows it's finished by 2036 or before and is desperate to stay intact somehow but geez.

I'll believe Clemson and FSU can leave before 2036 when it happens and I wouldn't bet on it except FSU seems to be incredibly bold and stupid which isn't a great combo.

The Big 12 laid down the gauntlet on GOR's.

You can be sure tejas explored every avenue to get out of it. It still cost them nearly two years Big 12 distribution to get out one year early. They'll get that money back in short order, but still.

None of the PAC tried to get out early either.

I agree with you 100% but FSU appears to be stupid enough to attempt it or it's one massive bluff and either option wouldn't surprise me.

They will leave when they know they can manage the loss in revenue. Right now the number being tossed around is 500mm, which is too much. When it's manageable they're gone.

Also does FSU bring in equal value as all SEC schools already get? Some don't think so.
