Why are the Michigan fans so obsessed with McCord? Lol. It's very odd.

Also 2023 Michigan had the easiest route to winning the 4 team playoff, and it's not even close. A very watered down Bama team that was only there by a miracle and fucking Washington.

2023 Michigan gets beat easily by any of the other undefeated 4 team playoff champs
You're not wrong. I've said before, that Washington team was the second lowest rated team to ever make the 4 team CFP. They had a terrific offense sometimes, but they also struggled against some pretty bad defenses (22 points vs #40 total defense Oregon State, 24 points vs #77 Wazzou, 15 points vs #91 ASU), not to mention their defense was downright pathetic (#98 in total defense). They profiled as a team that 2024 OSU would've destroyed yet michigan didn't pull away until midway through the 4th quarter. Yet if you try and say 2024 OSU could beat 2023 michigan, newphone will lose his mind.

Would Pat Fitzgerald be a good fit at Iowa?

I got thinking that is where Iowa should go. I think about few more years and Kirk will call it quits, Pat take over. He has a kid that plays at Iowa, which he goes to many games. I can see him and Phil Parker have a crazy good defense.

I know many Iowa fans are saying hire within. Thoughts?

Has enough time passed that people have forgotten about why he got fired? If so, he was a hell of a coach given the talent he was winning with. Going to Iowa from Northwestern would be a nice jump potentially.

Chicago obviously as it's problem areas but it's still a cool city. Evanston is awesome
I thought Evanston was fine, but it's insanely expensive and getting any kind of land is practically impossible. I'd take Iowa City in a heartbeat. 171k metro area population is a great size and it's affordable. Give me that over NW.

Oh didn't know we were taking about living. Yeah I'm not living anywhere near Chicago. I don't like people

Not that bad when you look at the current landscape of college football.

Just won the B1G in their first season, killing it in recruiting, and seems to be the first coach that Oregon has had in awhile that is genuinely interested in building something and not just improving his resume.

There is a large list of names of coaches that got or are getting this sort of money while doing less or equal to what Lanning is doing at Oregon

If you don't mind homosexual hazing techniques, he's a solid coach
