tOfficial B1G Thread

The moment Minnesota plays a mediocre team (a huge step up from the high school teams they’ve been playing) and we see who they are.

Average. On the wrong side of mediocre.

I tried to tell you.

My B1G Power Rankings after week 4

TOP TIER - was clearly the better team on all phases of the game.
1 Michigan (5-0, 2-0)
2 Ohio State (5-0, 2-0)
3 Penn State (5-0, 2-0)

2ND TIER - Had a hiccup or tough teams but dominated other than a game or two
4 Purdue (3-2, 1-1)
5 Minnesota (4-1, 1-1)
6 Illinois (4-1, 1-1)
7 Maryland (4-1, 1-1)
9 Rutgers (3-2, 0-2)
9 Indiana (3-2, 1-1)

3RD TIER - may have dominated weaker teams (maybe), but nobody is saying that team is dominant
10 Wisconsin (2-3, 0-2)
11 Iowa (3-2, 1-1)
12 Michigan State (2-3, 0-2)
13 Nebraska (2-3, 1-1)
14 Northwestern (1-4, 1-1)

With Ibrahim playing they are a good team. Probably not great but high end of the top 25. Without him they will really struggle

I don’t hate this list other than I feel you almost HAVE to swap Iowa and Rutgers.

Not a lot of effort put into that.

"Gee, I'll just list them in alphabetical order"

Northwestern beat Nebraska in the head-to-head so should obviously be ahead of them.
I think he was just pointing out how weird it is in the West.

Your sarcasm detector is broken. Guy was clearly making a [correct] point.

Apparently so. I see no sarcasm in putting things in alphabetical order.
I see lazy.

Make all those 7-2 and Northwestern goes to the CCG over Nebraska due to the head-to-head.

They are still tied for the division lead. H2H is called a tie breaker for a reason

But no one would think it's gonna stay that way after just two games.

Since NW owns the H2H they should be ahead of Nebraska as long as there's even records. It's misleading to just slap it up there in alphabetical order.

Nah it's just weird that not a single team is undefeated in the West after simply two games.

Wonder if that has ever happened before?
