Hartline promoted to OC for Ohio State. No real surprise there. Wonder if they will give him play calling duties.

Also, Eichenberg staying which is big for our LBs

Day CLAIMS he is going to "step back" from play calling to focus on being a better Head Coach. But we will see.

I think this is either going to end really good or really bad though. We know what Hartline can do with WRs. But we have no clue what he can do running the whole offense.

I agree but I also think we need to give him the shot. He is the most irreplaceable piece on our coaching staff.

Could be some growing pains year one with playcalling similar to Fickell's first year at DC. Hopefully him and maybe Frye tag team it

I'd still be extremely shocked if it actually happened but there seems to be some at least real chatter about Stroud legit returning.

That'd be nuts. I see no upside for him to do this. (For him that is, not for Ohio State)

Yea he really can only hurt himself by coming back, I don't think he can raise his stock much higher. I feel like when QBs who were highly regarded do decide to return for another year it never works out too well. Wether injuries occur or they just end up underperforming.

Wouldn't be worried about him underperforming, but it would sure suck for him to come back and then suffer a big injury

At least he is trying to do his best to change bc he knows things could be better. Urban was always too stubborn to change his ways

I honestly have a thought that Hartline may have been helping with playcalling vs Georgia. We opened up the playbook finally and the offense looked incredible against the top defense in the country.

Word is he is being advised about coming out and going to the Texans. Their franchise is a joke and it might be better for him to come back and still get a ton of NIL money and go back next year where he can get drafted by a better franchise.

Or he will go pro now.

Doesn’t want to risk being drafted by some crappy team early in the draft.

Houston and Carolina would both be a disaster for him IMO. Both of those franchises are a mess currently.

If he came out next year he could be looking at teams like Seattle, GB, Miami (Tua isn't making it another season), Pittsburgh (Pickett isn't the guy) etc. I wouldn't blame him.

It's just crazy to even think about. Even with NIL money it can't compare. Top 5 picks get over 20 million dollar signing bonuses

It's always a gamble though. Could also end up with fucking QB graveyards like Washington or NY Jets if they happen to sputter back into the ground next year or Vegas, which isn't ideal either.....lol

All of those franchises have weapons though.

Our gross miss managing of injuries last year........I wonder if Kevin Wilson had a big hand in that in the big ones on the offensive side of the ball.

"There was some stuff involved around this injury that I didn’t respect – not even coming from outside but inside of the building,” Henderson said, declining to add specifics. “It hurt me a lot.”

At one point, he even questioned his future as a Buckeye. But he said heart-to-heart conversations with running backs coach Tony Alford and head coach Ryan Day cleared up the issues.

“I’m definitely locked in now that we got everything we needed to get off our chest,” he said."

Those two teams would be paradise for a rookie QB. Solid young RBs and outstanding WRs.

Stroud would be an absolute moron to come back to Ohio State when you aren't going to have a weaker QB class than they have this year. Will Levis is being talked about as the 3rd best QB for crying out loud.

Nothing Stroud could do would move him up in the draft next year and he could actually fall in the draft, as Drake Maye and Caleb Williams will get drafted over him in 2024, bare minimum. Hell -- Drake Maye and Caleb Williams could be #1 and #2 this year on many teams boards.

It would be entertaining to see Stroud come back to go 0-3 as a starter against Michigan next year.

No chance he comes back. I guess with NIL, you have money to live comfortable in college because of NIL and be a big man on campus, but top 5 picks in the NFL is giving you life changing money, as you said.

Yeah -- he could be stuck in Washington having to throw to Terry McClaurin or the Jets throwing to Garrett Wilson. And why mention Vegas? Vegas would be a dream for any QB -- I bet Tom Brady goes to Vegas this offseason, that is how much LV has. They are stacked -- DeVante Adams, Waller at TE, Renfroe in the slot, Josh Jacobs at RB.

Look at the Football Team and Jets QB history like the last 20 years. Graveyards
