Baylor was recovering from the Briles scandal correct? In spite of their record the last few years, Nebraska is in a little better shape in comparisoni was being a little sarcastic but I think he's a good match.
Don't know about Temple, but Baylor was in a lot worse shape than your Huskers are.
I've said before, I never understood why Rhule took the Baylor job when he did. He was well sought after at the time and had offers to go to a lot of jobs that weren't as big a mess as Baylor. The only job I can think of that comes close to being as bad as Baylor was at that time would be after Penn State's scandal and SMU's death penalty. I've come to the conclusion that Rhule gets an adrenaline rush seeing if he can rebuild after earthquakes.Baylor was recovering from the Briles scandal correct? Perhaps, but from what I remember he commented that he and his family felt compelled to take it as part of his faithI've said before, I never understood why Rhule took the Baylor job when he did. Opponent Watch 2023: Preview, Part 2 | mgoblog
Part 1 can be found here. Part 2 is worse. Much worse. The teams are better, sure. It’s just that… oh, you’ll see. I feel bad, yet I apologize for nothing. More Road Ahead Indiana Last year: 4-8 (2-7 B1G), no bowl game Recap: In last year’s preview, I compared Indiana’s 2021 season (favorably...mgoblog.com

Now that you mention it, that does sound familiar.Perhaps, but from what I remember he commented that he and his family felt compelled to take it as part of his faith
I am sure Husker fans know this year is going to be a bumpy one with the transition, but every change in regime usually includes that"Michigan should worry about: Matt Rhule excels at the thing Scott Frost struggled with most: organizing a fundamentally competent football team.
Michigan can sleep soundly about: Rhule was a combined 3-21 in his first seasons at Baylor and Temple, and Nebraska’s cupboard is awfully bare along the lines. It’s gonna take a minute."
Frost had the talent to win the west, but as HC you have to put the pieces together and get them lined up right. He failed miserably at that, and it was without a doubt the most frustrating thing about Frost's Nebraska. Special Teams are a part of the game and he didn't even have a Special Teams coordinator.
That being said, Rhule's not concerned about year one and is building from the ground up. There are only 7 seniors on the two-deep roster. Michigan will also control the trenches and that'll be the difference here.
