Yeah, I'm not sure what to make of PSU/USC. I don't think USC is all that great, but PSU has struggled some this year. I think PSU probably wins a close one.

Yeah, that's a tough schedule to end the year for Nebraska. 9-3 would actually be pretty good given it. I think you'll be at Wisconsin. They've looked terrible this year. If I had to guess I'd say 8-4 probably.

Nebraska struggled with Purdue 28-10. They were only up 7-3 at the end of the 3rd Q.

Wisconsin annihilated Purdue 52-6. They were up 42-6 at the end of the 3rd Q.

Yeah, that's true, but Wisconsin also got blown out by USC and Bama and struggled with Western Michigan and South Dakota. Western Michigan is pretty terrible. Based on how each team has played thus far I'd be surprised if Wisconsin beat Nebraska.

Because both games are @ USC.

1) I have zero faith in James Franklin.
2) It's too early for Rhule to be winning those types of games.
As opposed to Lincoln Riley?

Penn State has at least as good of, if not better defense as michigan, and obviously a significantly better offense. This is the type of team USC has tended to struggle with. Sort of reminds me of the matchup between USC and ND last year, honestly. I'm not saying it's that type of blowout, but I think PSU wins.

Lol no kidding. Lincoln Riley is liable to bring his genius offensive game plan from the Michigan game to the Penn State game as well.

Yeah this just doesn't seem like a good matchup for USC. PSU is like the inverse of LSU, only even though their offense is largely predicated on the run (something we know USC can't stop) they do have a pretty good offense, but they also have a spectacular defense while LSU's continues to be dogshit. I honestly could see this being sort of a low-scoring game, but I see PSU winning. Something like 27-14.

I would probably agree with you if it was the same Wisconsin team that began the season. However, they have lost their #1 QB and their #1 RB. They could have gotten worse or better.

by the way are any Ohio State posters going to Eugene this weekend?

Nobody was going to beat Michigan State today

Makes you think

I didn't put it together until now, but Indiana is indeed ranked. Therefore, Nebraska is unable to win.

Nebraska finishes the season (3-3) at best. More likely (2-4) or even (1-5) tho.

Rhule's 2nd seasons at Temple and Baylor were certainly improvements over his 1st seasons, but the bigger leaps came in year three at those programs.

Rhule finished his 2nd season at Temple in 2014 (2-5)
Rhule finished his 2nd season at Baylor in 2018 (2-4)

I expect similar in his 2nd season at Nebraska.

@ Indiana: L
@ Ohio St: L
UCLA: W
@USC: L
Wisconsin: L
@ Iowa: ?

Getting Nebraska bowl eligible in year two (i.e. 6 or 7 wins) would be an improvement over year one and I'll take it for momentum's sake going into 2025.

Since we burned Hogan Hansen's redshirt, you may as well just try and work him into a bigger role on offense. There were very few positives last night, but he was one of them. Loveland will be gone after the season, might as well see if he's a suitable replacement. Speaking of burning redshirts, a lot of calls for us to start Jadyn Davis at QB, but I'm not sure that's a good idea given the poor OL and WR play. That just feels like you're asking to get him hurt and/or hurt his development. This season isn't going anywhere, it's starting to look more and more like they go 7-5 at best. What do you guys think?
