tOfficial B1G Thread

I think there are 3 coaches in B1G that should be considered Coach of the Year.

1 Pat Fitzgerald - they won 1 B1G game last season to losing 1 B1G game
2 Ryan Day - As long as they are undefeated
3 Tom Allen - The enjoyable coach of this season

1 - possibly
2 - no shot. in order to win, people have to expect you to suck.
3 - my # 1 choice

Yeah, I think in order for an OSU coach to win it, our starting QB would have to get hurt while we proceed to beat everyone by 40 points. Maybe

4. Scott Frost - If it weren't for him and Nebraska (and Trump), the B1G might not even be playing football or having a Coach of the Year.

Eventually the Big 10 is going to have to succumb in going out of their way to make Nebraska look bad.

Nebraska was brought in for national exposure for the Big 10, not because Nebraska has a high population of eyeballs to watch the Big 10 Network. The Big 10 is cutting their own throat in doing their best to make Nebraska irrelevant nationally. Nobody from the other 49 states is going to tune in to BTN to watch a crappy Nebraska team.

Over 2X the number of the 13th place team?

Michigan vs Ohio State officially canceled. Maybe tOSU could call up Cincy and ask for a game....or are they scared.

Cincy was the reason the Cincy/Tulsa game got cancelled

The Big 10 has already established precedent and ruled against Nebraska on scheduling an OOC opponent due to game cancellation (Wisconsin).

I've got no problem with them allowing tOSU to schedule another Big 10 opponent if possible. That precedent has yet to be established or denied.

I'm sure the Nebraska AD, Frost, and even the fans would support an Ohio St rematch (if at all possible) to help the Buckeye's get to the CCG and ultimately the CFP.

That precedence was set with Nebraska, though. We're Ohio State

I think you kid. Gonna look bad when it's obvious the Big 10 is showing preference among members.

It may also leave them wide open to lawsuit from Nebraska. Just another reason for the Big 10 to get pissed at them and keep fucking them in years to come.

I'd play tOSU again just to see if there has been any improvement from week 1 to now.

The more football the better. Play it while you can

Looks like Minnesota is on track to be able to play this week unfortunately.

Our only possible opponent right now looks like Indiana

Some poster on HuskerOnline said that Nebraska's contract with the B1G is up in 2023 or 2024 (can't quite recall) - is this accurate or how does this work?

I also recently read that the Big12 will be looking to expand in the next couple of years.... you all know where I stand. Could you imagine the ratings if Nebraska went back to the Big12, the ratings of the first Oklahoma or Texas games lol.

I'm getting giddy just thinking about it.

Nothing like a Frost-Herman deathmatch to boost the ratings

Indiana should tell the B1G to go fuck itself. They play their real game they are in the championship game. Why would they fucking play Oh St a second time?

Not a knock on Indiana, but outside of the OSU game, their opponent combined record is 12-31. Can't fault Indiana for that, just not sure how good they are.
