tOfficial Make fun of the Mets thread

Isn't it a bad idea for the owner of a franchise to be tweeting anything about making moves, hypothetical or not?

He doesn't mention any players by name but still. Does seem he is walking along a slippery slope here.

Isn't the more pressing question why he's soliciting advice at all from the public? Mets fans are probably like, "Fuck man, it's your team... isn't it your job?!"

Mets should have won tonight by a score of like 9-4. Instead, Edwin Diaz blew another save and it's tied at 9 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth

Didn’t seem like it took long at all for the Mets to go from up 4 to third place in the NL East

Happened as soon as they brought in that clubhouse cancer Baèz
Personally, I think Baez is one of the most overrated hitters in the game. He can hit the ball a mile, and he can go on hot streaks and he has some pretty neat slides, but this is year 7 and he still doesn't take walks, his career high OBP is .332, but hangs around .300 most years. Forget three outcome, he's pretty much a 2 outcome hitter, strikeout or homer. He's not even 30 yet and has 3 career 5 strikeout games. He makes me nervous when we have to face him because he is capable of hitting the ball a mile, but I wouldn't want him on my team.

Baez has some of the worst plate discipline I've ever seen. Fun player to watch, but I wouldn't want to be the team that signs him to a long term contract. Besides, I think the things that make Baez valuable are his defense and baserunning, not so much his hititng (though a career 102 OPS+ from a middle infielder is still pretty decent)

If he could ever learn to take some walks, he could be a real high value player, and his defense and baserunning are both excellent, I just think his low OBP hurts him a lot. Like, take some more walks so we can see that baserunning more often en sech.

he's like the middle infielder version of Adam Jones, but a little more strikeout-prone.

Going from 1st to 3rd in division standings in the month of August is quite a feat!
