Speaking of being old. I’m pissed. Nebraska was scheduled to play the day of my 50th birthday And they canceled that game this morning to play fucking Houston Baptist

I may miss the band, but I sure as hell don't miss the prevalence of b.o. ... not even disguised by patchouli ... it was like they kind of combined with each other, so one didn't know where the b.o. ended and the patchouli began. One just wanted to run away.

Speaking of which, someone at my local market must've hooked up with a chanterelle supplier, because they've been readily available for a while now. I finally got some, and will be making this killer chanterelle, leek, and goat cheese in puff pastry* this weekend.

*I'm lazy, so I'm using those Pepperidge Farm puff pastry shells.
