I thought $8 / person to get into my daughter's volleyball was bad enough..... but I also have to factor in price of concessions and all the other shit...


Then - because of COVID, they currently aren't even letting people in, so I had to shell out $120 so I could watch a "live stream" from their matches.... which is cool and all.... EXCEPT FOR THE GAWDAMN CAMERA is stationary, and no one is manning it..... so there is no zoom or whatever... and from the distance and angle, you can't see who is who.... Fucking assholes

When my son’s hockey team played at Nationals a few years back, it was the same. They played in San Jose (if I recall) and was deployed and couldn’t go. They were like “hey, watch on live stream.” Except it was the same; no zoom, shitty angles, often blurry, etc.

Thankfully I didn’t have to pay $120, though if I recall there was a small fee for it.

Hell man, when my son played AAA hockey, it was around that just for the registration fee. Throw in team specific jerseys/equipment, airline fees, hotels, camps, clinics, etc, I spent around $9/$10K.
