Weird, I have T-Mobile too but I don't really get that. I'll get a notification saying I have a likely spam message in my visual voicemail app but it doesn't mark it as unread. I really wouldn't care that blocked numbers are leaving messages but every time my phone loses service and re-connects (like on my work route) it buzzes me to say I have a notification so I try keeping it clear.
Why you....
The only people who leave me messages are those extended car warranty robocalls, which apparently I get a few months worth of last chance messages.

The fucks who send me this voting activist and pro- or anti-Trump texts are still the worst. No idea how they got my number and it's like whack-a-mole blocking them because it's a different number every time.

I used to get calls from like New Mexico of robo calls that are very obviously just spliced up words about how I have an outstanding warrant for my arrest and need to pay to avoid it.
Think @huskers1217 mentioned getting something like that too
