It's fucking absurd, imo.
Ok, fine, if it's someone who royally fucked up once, gets their shit together, and never engages in crime, again, I could go with that. However, there's no way of knowing who those people will be, and, while I may be wrong on this, it seems to be the recidivism rate is high enough, those one time fuck ups are the exception. So, in essence, people who possibly won't successfully complete their parole, in other words, commit crimes while on parole and get thrown back in prison, may be allowed to vote.

I will not disagree with you on this. Sure, a one time thing and they have reformed I can see. But multiple crimes or sentences? They are clearly not interested in being good citizens. Therefore, they shouldn't have the same rights as other good citizens

I'm not big on felon's voting rights being restored, anyway.
Again, much like I said above, if the person is a one-time fuck up, ok, otherwise, not so much.

Of course, this is all through the filter of my personal experience ... the fact I think of a specific repeat felon ... and the thought of that human garbage having the right to vote makes me fuckin' sick.

Shit, this may be a li'l too on the political side of things for me to be going on about on this thread.
