smashing/gouging, cutting my hands/fingers was probably the thing I hated most about the job. hurt like mfer...especially in the winter time.Smashed my fingers quite a few times
I bet if I tried to do it today, I could do a much better job, but it was never going to be something I excelled at. My brother just picked it up effortlessly, nobody had to teach him. My dad expected me to learn the same way and I didn't. Honestly, I didn't want to learn because I was being made to do it.
They also made me do the junkyard runs when we needed a replacement part. That was actually cool, riding through the yards and looking at all the wrecked vehicles.
oh no. I got real smart; joined the Navy, became a corpsman w/ the Marines and did 20-mile+ marches with 80 pound packs.I gather you won't be doing that again...
GODDAMN YOU!!! My brain is already on life support and now you do this to me?!
Hi-yaa!You're under 300, have a cheeseburger.

Yeah, had plenty of ratchet slips where I left half of my knuckles on a seat frame. I've still got scars and warped fingers. We never went to the doctor back then.smashing/gouging, cutting my hands/fingers was probably the thing I hated most about the job. hurt like mfer...especially in the winter time.
Wait, what? P.K. Subban and Lindsay Vonn have broken up!

Some years ago.
to this day, I'm still missing the tip of my left ring finger from some work on a padded vinyl top and a razor blade mishap.Yeah, had plenty of ratchet slips where I left half of my knuckles on a seat frame. I've still got scars and warped fingers. We never went to the doctor back then.
It was especially fun walking a bench seat in or out of a car, and you banged your head or shoulder on the door frame
God, I hated that job so much
Forgot all about those electric seats. Caddies were the worstto this day, I'm still missing the tip of my left ring finger from some work on a padded vinyl top and a razor blade mishap.
since I was the little guy, I was the one that had to walk the seats thru too. Didn't really bother too much unless it was one of those damn motorized seats. I swear those things must have weighed a half ton!
Yeah, exactly like that
It's like eating gravel.I think they’re still trying to sell the original batch they made.
yep. I'm not even really a car guy and to this day, I hate Cadillacs. and I'm 99% sure it's because of that job as a kid.Forgot all about those electric seats. Caddies were the worst
Thanks for asking, he's still training remotely. The instructor tried to do some outdoor sessions in the fall but there wasnt enough interest and now the weather is going to be bad.Hey, @Hu War Yu - I'd been meaning to ask you how your son's training is going.
Has he been able to return to his DoJang at all since the spring? Is he still training online?
We had a couple of months where we could hold in-person classes, again, but had to go back to all online.
