With this talk about making rice ...

My mama was a pretty damned good cook, but for some reason making rice stressed her the fuck out.
I grew up hearing over and over how difficult it was to make rice.
I never figured out why.

I make rice all the time, yet to this day, I'm always a teeny bit surprised when it turns out well (and I can't remember a time it didn't).
 
Speaking of rice don't make any kind of curry/masala meal without basmati rice.

Made that fucking mistake before.
