I hate those, I get em in my left shoulder and I can't pinpoint exactly where the pain is, so I can't massage it out. And it will flare up randomly, so I can't even tell what I'm doing to aggravate it. I'll sit for half an hour trying to make it hurt on purpose so I can narrow down the trouble spot
 
If yo back and shoulders hurt, go get a deep tissue massage.
