Why did they put sausage on a stick? Isn't that a little overkill? I mean, it's already dick shaped, why does it need to be impaled by another dick?

I’ve caught a few. Snagged one in the back foot and it was not happy, and they’ve got some reach with that neck too. I was able to get the hook out, but it was dicey

True, but I ain’t worried about some sissy soft shell or loggerhead.

I’m just glad I don’t have to worry about the alligator snapping turtles, though I doubt you’d be able to reel a full grown one in

A toasty 66 here. We've had an unseasonably warm fall so far. Marathon was last Sunday and they set a record high temp, beating the previous high -- which was set when the race was still held in September.

We go from 70 on Saturday to 50 on Sunday, then the high 40's for the next week

There’s a cold front headed down here over the weekend. It’s gonna be below freezing in the mornings, which doesn’t happen in mid November very often, but it’ll be warmed back up by the time I get back.

I caught a huge desert tortoise one time...felt like a was reeling in a tire. That fucker snapped like a motherfucker at me. Startled the shit out of me. Fuck that hook...cut that line without hesitation.
