My son proposed to his gf last night. they are moving together next month.

I get a bigger office!

OOTP!!!

(officially off the payroll - I got it from an old friend of mine's dad. I'm sure your son isn't as spoiled as my friend was, but I'll never forget her dad raising a glass of champagne and saying to me "Officially off the payroll!!!")

Oh, and Congratulations.

Barracuda is trash fish

The Atlantic barracuda is indeed a trash fish. It's a reef hunter and ingests a lot of reef toxins.

Pacific barracuda, however, are pelagic (they travel around constantly) are smaller and quite delicious.

You stand corrected, so thank me for curing you of ignorance.

Oh, you mean the ones who seem to have gotten bored waiting for the Mothership, so they decide to just wander aimlessly around the grocery? I wonder where they come from. It's like they only emerge at certain times of year.
It’s amazing. I get that they may be cooking some things that they don’t cook other times of the year, but some of these people have zero life skills. When I was there the other day, one dude was camped out in front of the green beans for like five minutes. Dude. Pick one. They aren’t that different. Make a decision and move on with your life.

Right, maybe they're cooking something new, or maybe they're in from out of town and not familiar with where things are in that grocery store, but using your example of green beans - they aren't really going to be any different because you're in one state or grocery store instead of another.

I admit, I'm very picky when it comes to produce, but because I get impatient about other things, I try to be hyper-aware if anyone else is around and seeming to want to get to anything close to where I'm being particular about this apple instead of that one, and I say, "if I'm in your way, please let me know" then make some quip making fun of myself for being picky.

I understand some people like cheese danish.
That said, why would someone decide to put the kind of cheese that's used in cheese danishes inside a fruit turnover?!?
It's not a pleasant surprise.
It's disgusting.

I'm not as traumatized as I was by that time what I thought sugar on top of a chocolate chip cookie turned out to be salt, but taking a big ol' bite of what you think it an apple turnover, only to discover someone put "cheese danish" cheese in it is not a pleasant experience. :puke:

Sad.

But, there's still barracuda, bonita, perch, mackerel, sea bass, sculpin and yellowtail.

Sculpin spines are slightly venomous. Not fatal, but there's swelling and pain worse than anything you could imagine outside of marriage.
Yeah, I’m still going. Just not doing the crab part now :sigh:

If I have a good time, I’ll book a crab one when the season (hopefully) opens in December.

I have officially completed the first thing I’m cooking for thanksgiving. Just took a batch of cornbread out of the oven to be used in the stuffing. Gotta let it get a little stale first.

I love cornbread dressing. Love. It.
It sounds like you know what you're doing, too.
Letting it get a bit stale first is key.

You've caught crabs before
