Daughter moved to a dorm this fall over in Manhattan. She's just a 15-20 minute train ride away but it's still hard. She doesn't like to come and stay at the house anymore :pout:
Yeah, even if she moved out for undergrad, this is a small college town. She wouldn't be far away. Even med school will be less than 2 hours. It's just that "different roof" thing that gets me.

Happened pretty fast over here. He got his acceptance letter for the academy, that starts next month. He told me was looking for houses to rent a week later. one week later he proposed to his girl. She already has her masters, and they are in much better shape than we were starting out. I still think he should have waited til he got through the academy, but I already know, and have been trying to explain it to my wife, the more we push against their decisions at this point, the more they will pull away. So, go with the flow now. Except for her, she wont let anything go. haha
Holee shet. Decided to completely grow up in a 2 week span.

She just LOVES her dorm. Even when all her classmates go home for a holiday weekend, she stays there. The only way we got her to come home for thanksgiving was because we went to the adirondacks. She'll come to the hood to meet up with her friends who still live here, but she won't drop by the house. Except to come grab some food

This post made me sadz.

Maybe your daughter will be different. I know my daughter loves her daddy; she's basically getting away from her mom and her brother. Yes, that is it.
In all honesty, my wife is a bit of a control freak. She was going on and on about how she was going to help get him through the academy, and he was probably, thinking, "FUCK ALL OF THAT" I love her, but she can be a bit of a pill when she wants to take the reigns on something. ITS ALL HER FAULT

Our Wives must be in a club together....

If she had chilled the fuxk out, he might have waiting for a couple months, is all I'm sayin.
Mama bears ain't got no chill

Good luck with straddling the fence on this one though! lol! Remember... do not use these two words in the same sentence, EVAR:
Calm
