What's an appropriate way to engrave a gift with someone's name? The thing I'm looking at only has space for 13 letters and I wanted to put both initials and last name, but it's too long, so do I just go with 1st initial, last name or just last name?

First initial, last name sounds okay.

Otherwise, can you just glue a piece of paper onto it and write in crayon?

You have to have the first initial to personalize it. Otherwise just the last name could be a reference to anything, say if his last name was Johnson or Wiener or Gay or Butts or Dickman...

@moxie it's not gonna be much of a difference if you don't engrave "Sodomizer" and instead go with "A. Sodomizer".
