68 today. Was 50s when i took my daughter out for breakfast this morning.i wore shorts, t shirt, and flip flops. My toesies was chilly

It sounds as though Texas, or at least parts of it, is experiencing rolling blackouts due to the extreme cold that we had out here over the summer because of the extreme heat.

I'd far rather swelter in the heat than have my fuckin' heat shut off in the middle of an arctic blast, but it sucks either way. Hopefully, since today is holiday, there will be less pull on the grids and they either won't have to shut off anyone, or if they do, it won't be for too long.

Some of the outages are not planned but are power failures.
 
Looks like I might have to take Texas off the list of possible moves. The next closest state with no state income tax is Nevada.
