That's the one I'm waiting for and i don't care how long I have to wait. Developed as a traditional vaccine unlike the engineered Phizer/Moderna concoctions.

Also looking to see what the longer term effects are.

Yeah, it's the one I was really hoping to get.
As of yesterday, it was not being offered. The only appointments I could find were for the Pfizer or Moderna.
As of this morning, suddenly all these appointments for the J&J one were available, so I jumped on it.

Do I have to go through my doctor to sign up or do I just google vaccination sites?

Google vaccination sites.
I'd include your county in your google search.
You can go through your insurance carrier, the county public health, or various pharmacies.
It seemed like CVS had the most options, and you didn't have to sign up for anything (unlike Wallgreens, where they wanted you to make a Wallgreens account).

With the J&J one now being available, at least as long as production is consistent, and I saw some mention that Johnson and Johnson is teaming up with Merck, so production can really be ramped up, that should speed things up a lot ... other groups should become eligible more quickly than they would have.

I'd be in the same boat as you, were it not for the darling li'l petri dishes (aka, kids) I have to be around.

I'd rather get the J&J one myself. One and done.

People are reluctant to get it because they think it's less effective than the other two, but Moderna and Pfizer need two doses to give you the same effective protection.

I'll still probably be one of the last people in the country who gets it.
