It's not like it's terrible but gotta remember I'm used to Pittsburgh, STL abd Midway. Pittsburgh is just a giant X when you hit the terminal and Midway and STL are more or less straight lines.

Oh yeah and KC, but that airport is fucking weird.

That one terminal really is way the hell out in bum fuck.

The two I'm most used to are SDF (Louisville) and SFO, but I'm either flying into or out of SFO, not changing planes, so it's never a big deal for me. I almost always fly through Chicago on my way to Louisville, but next time I'm going to try the Delta non-stop from SFO to Cincinnati. That airport is actually in Northern Kentucky, and the drive from there to the house where I grew up is only about an hour and a half, or less. Living in the Bay Area, that ain't a long drive, at all, plus it's really pretty.

Gotta hit STL to complete it.

Bonus points if you're at McCarren in Vegas and get on the wrong train to baggage (@dbldwn711 @Peter Gozintite)
I guess that's on my list. Never been to the state of Missouri. Closest is when I went to NE Arkansas about 20 years ago. I wanted to drive across the border but my at-the-time girlfriend wanted to get home to see her family.

hahaha

btw... if you do that... it’s a real bitch to get back.

Let me guess, The Young Prick said, "hey, dbl, help me out. Which train do I take to baggage once I land?"
And you told him the wrong one on purpose ... or did you just do that to me? :nonono:

I've been in Frankfort/Cintucky dozens of times. Once I got a ride on a shuttle bus to make my connect, that was weird. I think they were doing some construction/expansion at the time

I didn't even know Frankfort had an airport. I figured people would just fly into Lexington, or hell, even Louisville.
Both are closer than the Cinci/N.Kentucky airport.

Yeah I had to take one of those inter-terminal shuttles. And of course I was delayed coming in from LAX so everyone I was meeting was already out and about.

I'd recommend KC if you ever get the chance if for nothing else the food lives up to its reputation. I'm also incredibly biased towards Columbia because I lived there for six years, every time I go back it feels like some kinda pilgrimage on that two hour drive through the middle of nowhere between STL and it.

Depending on traffic that's not much longer from O'Hare to downtown :heh:

A lot of these river towns are half in one state, half in another

My next trip is to Council Bluffs, Iowa, which is on the border with Nebraska and basically a suburb of Omaha. The Missouri River makes the state border

There's a lot of the Flyover States I haven't seen yet. I might get the chance to cross a lot of them off over the next ten years

That doesn't even really count as Chicago. Always thought it was funny they just annexed land with a small strip connecting to to the city.

Airports are one of the only plaves it's socially acceptable to drink regardless of time.
Did you even have a flight if you didn't have a beer or cocktail in the airport at 7am?!

Never been to ORD, have only done MDW. Which are probably both better than LAX. FUCK, I hate that airport sogoddamnmuch!

LAX should be turned into a museum or skate park or something. Ontario is so much nicer

In college I used to stay up all night and get the airport shuttle at 4:30 a.m. and after the drive would get there around 7 a.m. Drinking at that time after no sleep is an experience.

I've also got bad memories at LAX. Besides them completely forgetting to send us a plane to Vegas I was hungover and sleep deprived there going back. I just remember randomly sleeping somewhere there while waiting. The food was good though.

which would mean maybe I really am mentally ill, and I just don't realize it.

It's okay. I hear that we're supposed to be compassionate to crazy people.

So I'll try to continue to be nice to you.

How long do you think i could dip muh feets in the pool before security catches me and kicks me out?

this might be what I listen to for night shift tonight
