was watching my kids game last night and someone on my kids team hit it to deep left center field.

dude ran all the way home.

they outfielder got the ball. hit the shortstop on the relay and the shortstop had a great throw home... so great that the kid at home was watching the runner and not the ball.. kid got smacked in the face and fell backwards.

it looked like a damn clip from ridiculousness or something and I had to hold back laughter for a minute.

But did you hear the boink sound when the ball hit the head?

My dainty lil' princess is gonna get killed on the soccer field. She has a huge smile on her face tho, that I'm sure will disappear as soon as she takes one to the noodle from some cornfed canyon kid. :sigh:

Maybe the pic of your foot was the proof that @Dole ver 2.0 had that Bigfoot was real.

One of my little league highlights was once throwing out a guy who had doubled all the way to the fence. I was playing center field and he hit it over my head. I don't know if he thought he had hit it out of the park or not, but be lolligagged his way to second. I ran it down, threw to the shortstop, and the runner just jogged right into the tag.

Tiny, frail and gossipy girlie-girls.

For the record, while it isn't common, at least in my experience, there are a few of those tiny, frail, gossipy girlie-girls who can end up being quite formidable. Ok, maybe sans the gossipy part. They have to be able to focus long enough to listen and learn, but if they do, you may luck out and get at least one who looks like they'd be Li'l Miss "I Stubbed My Toe, I'm Gonna Cry Like I Broke My Leg," who ends up being a fuckin' assassin!!!

Teach her to “tackle the ball” with her spikes high. 😉

Damn it, @gobigred......you leapfrogged me for 2nd place in Hoop cash.

I used to think I had a thing for midwest dudes. So sweet, and usually pretty smart, handy and easy on the eyes. I thought that if I ever decided something long-term became appealing, a midwesterner would be the one for me.

And then this happened:

What in all the entire fuck of fucks?! "Iconic midwestern dish"? Y'all should be thrown in the clink for this shit. You bring that to my potluck and I will call the cops myself. :puke:

Meh. Still a team sport. Any excuse at all for kids to be together these days is a good one, and I'm sure the after-game snack is still a highlight, even after a crushing 11-0 loss.
