tOfficial PAC-12 Thread

I like the helmet schedules, but this is nearly as good.

UCLA won the scheduling game this year (Misses Oregon and Washington from the North)

Utah lost the scheduling game (Has to play UO, UW and OSU out of the North)

shit man PAC really is dead and they have no one to blame other than themselves.. especially CAL/Stanford who usually have the final say in everything

Adding SDSU and SMU.. and hope to get to the 35 mil per school payout? ASU/AZ/Udub/Oregon aren't going to sign a longterm GOR. PAC better make it short..like 5/6 years and pray they can elevate the conference through Amazon or ESPNU enough to get a better deal down the road

These guys had their noses turned up when the pickings of a shocked Big12 was there delivered in a handbasket. They could have gotten a mix of Tech, TCU, Baylor, UH, osu, KU, ISU... instead they laughed at those possibilities.. Then SC and UCLA bolted with the advice from FOX to the BiG.. Now they trying to hold this thing together with SDSU and SMU??? At least Larry had the right plan, he just couldn't get Stanford/Cal to sign off to letting UT have it's LHN channel for it's tier 3 rights.. Something I bet they all wish they had done in hindsight.

Crazy..the BiG or Big12 didn't kill them..they did it themselves..

actually the biggest bullshit of it all is that it was USC who put the biggest squash on expanding with Big XII schools. then a minute later they bolt.

they were the ones to nix it??

Why wouldn't they?

Y'all keep saying these GORs have no teeth and teams can just tell the conference to fuck off and not pay said conference a dime.

You can't have it both ways.

because there is no need to.. BiG deal is up again in 2031..so is the BiG12.. why would those schools sign a 10 year commitment when they have been mentioned as possible additions to the BiG or Big12?

u act like it's iron clad.. like these things are NEVER negotiable.. hell the Big12 and UT/ou have a deal on how much money it's paying to leave a season early.. They just need to make FOX happy..

y'all had to pay some money to leave (and take a huge paycut when you arrived)... It was all negotiable..

I've never said it's not negotiable. I've said the Big 12 doesn't have to negotiate anything (pre 2025) if they don't want to.

Dragging Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, or A&M into this is strawman. The current GOR was not in place at that time so it's apples and oranges.
Nebraska got all that money back and some.
So will TX/OU once amortized in a few years.

how does GOR work if the whole conference disolves? like in the event Oregon Washington Stanford do get a BIG Ten invite its more likely that the 4 corners look to the BigXII at that time. thats over half the conference. does that change things?

yeah usually if 4 schools leave it breaks it.. I think UT and ou expected some movement from the PAC to grab Tech, OSU, KU and TCU

im not sure 35 is the goal. i think they were just a couple short of 30 and wanted to get within 1-2 mil of the Big XII so if they were at like 28 getting those 2 probably moves it just enough to make it more comparable to that

Leaks of what numbers looked like were 25 mil per school.. Everyone, including the new Big12 are hoping the new CFP format will bring in an additional 15 mil per school
