tOfficial PAC-12 Thread

Athletic just posted an article.. Their current pac 12 AD source trashes Kliakloff.. He was telling the schools that he had multiple suiters offering more than 40 mil per school.. Now they don't even think they can get the 31.6 mil the big 12 got.

They also have no love for the Big12:

“It’s tough when your neighbor across the street sells his house for a low price,” said the Pac-12 administrator.

Seems like they are going all in with streaming and getting espn some 10:30pm slots.. They are adding 2 more schools to add more inventory.. Looks like it will be around 300 mil a year..

The Big 12 rushing to sign a deal well below market value certainly made things harder for the PAC

Leaks of what numbers looked like were 25 mil per school.. Everyone, including the new Big12 are hoping the new CFP format will bring in an additional 15 mil per school

250 is what the current deal was for 12 schools so 25 without UCLA and USC makes some sense. i was seeing it 25 to 28

2 schools with
1. San Diego State some presence or at least a semblance of a presence in So cal.
2. SMU Dallas/Texas as well as a 3rd time zone even if for only 6 or 7 games a year.

yeah those seem to be the two that will be added

Then whatever would FOX have done? Been the lone holdout 'til they got future games? LMAO!!
they couldn't hold out since the agreement would come to an end.. if you have time to look over them..every GOR agreement can be dissolved with a certain amount of schools leaving before the deal expires

So the SEC distributed 50 mil in media rights to every school in conference. Big 12 distributed over 42 mil per school and the ACC distributed over 37 mil per school..

Interesting part is when the new Big12 extension occurs, they will be making less than the ACC deal that is still in place. SEC has one more payout like this before it skyrockets in 2025.

Nuh Huhh!!

FOX controls the Big 12, it's GOR, and all it's teams. They wouldn't have let the Big 12 dissolve without getting a bunch of games in return.

well they worked it out.. and it wasn't because of money.. that hurdle was cleared awhile back.. it was on FOX and it got cleared. I'm sure the threat of DELAWARE was the reason why an agreement happened lol

BTW.. with this release.. word is that the Big12 is getting ready to expand some more.. I'm guessing they are trying to get to 16.. This gonna be the deathblow to the PAC now?

well if we go based on recent moves they will be getting SDSU, Boise State, Gonzaga and Memphis

you know I was thinking that too, however..it doesn't make real sense since FOX won't be paying the same cut for G5 additions.. ESPN will, but not Fox

The OU and Texas move is not good news for Pac12. I think Big12 is about to pick up some Pac12 teams. I also think Oregon and Washington may have to jump to Pac12 if the Arizonas and Colorado are out already.

I wish both conferences could just trim the fat and just include the best of what both have to offer.

West:
Washington
Oregon
Stanford
California
Arizona
Arizona State
Utah
BYU

East:
Colorado
Kansas
Kansas State
Iowa State
Oklahoma State
TCU
Baylor
Texas Tech

The Big 12 deal is worth 31.6 million a school which is more than that PAC has ever gotten and reports were when the PAC was in the exclusive negotiating window the number offered was around 24 million. So you boys were first at the plate and struck out and the Big 12 scored 7 million more a school than you could before they signed.

Your entire post is kinda delusional especially since USC and UCLA are leaving.
