tOfficial PAC-12 Thread

On the flip side last year SC’s defense was far too lax. LBs, CB’s and Safeties playing far too off the ball. Gabe up way too much cushion last year. Would be nice to find a happy medium. Was a little worried when Drake Jackson and Hufanga left the field in the first half.I can say Drake Jackson And Marlon T have been impressive so far.

Maybe they can mix the 2. lol

Offense definitely needs some work tho

When teams play that soft zone that the Arizona schools were using, they need to run the ball more on 1st down. They have a talented group of running backs and should be using them. Against both Arizona schools, when they ran on 1st down, good things happened on 2nd and 3rd down and the offense would start to get a rhythm.

Both winning drives featured heavy doses of running the ball.

I don’t think it’s helped that Geoteote has been playing with an infection from his knee down. Still early for Orlando’s defense hoping it balances out.

Agree the offense has been frustrating. Not a big fan of the air raid A bit too pass happy. Not a lot of consistency and it’s been pretty one dimensional imo. I would like to see them run the ball more but would like some running plays with the QB under center.

I do like seeing Carr run more physical this year. He seemed to be trying to hard to make moves before. Stepp may be my favorite of the SC backs. Would like to see Christon get more reps he’s explosive. Amon Ra and London have been the brightest spots. Really liking McCoy so far would like to see them get Bryant involved more he’s a burner. Like you said tho with the soft zones SC is going to have to establish a running game at some point. And the WRs are going to have to start adjusting their routes to work the zone. Harrell has some work to do happy SC is 2-0 but they are playing with fire right now Fight On \/

Orlando bases his defenses on schemes..which should do really well this season..what happens is that it becomes predictable as more schools get another shot at him.. the defense is soo elite when facing a passing QB who has feet in cement.. but if they can move, it's gonna be a wild game.

Aside from the first two games this year I have t seen much of Orlando’s defenses , outside the home and home with Texas. I was impressed with the Texas D in both games. Darnold was a very mobile QB but at that point SC was playing him in more of a pocket passer role. They had a field day with JT who is far from mobile imo. SC did struggle with Jayden Daniels but SC I didn’t think much of it. They have struggled with mobile QB’s quite a bit over the past few years.

I do think he is an improvement from Pendergast last year. I’m not sure if Clancy became complacent last year, but he severely veered away from bringing pressure. SC looked more like they were playing a consistent prevent last season. Hoping to see SC win some games with less “excitement”. But I also think they lose both of those games if Pendergast was still the DC.

Has anyone posted in awhile that Oregon couldn’t win the MWC this year?

MWC would be a cake just as Oregon would’ve been Saturday had I not gotten sick.

Oregon literally handed you the ball multiple times in the first half, and you still got blown away in the 2nd half.

Wazzu continues to be a bunch of choking, pathetic losers.

Idk, Wazzu looks like a MWC type program and we walked out of Pullman with a 2 TD win. All that despite playing a comically bad first half

so could that mean Colorado this week? between BYU and Colorado or the Pac 12 pay off North Alabama.

Make BYU pay off North Alabama if they want the game.

Play the Sun Belt schools you cowards

I would think Colorado would want to play another too.

There are teams that aren’t playing this week. I’d look to schedule them first unless BYU wants to make it happen

true but based on proximity and travel BYU Colorado makes more sense than any other.
UTEP doesnt move the needle for anyone
SMU maybe but thats still more travel

Wyoming now in the mix

the hard part is the ideal is another conference game. so does Colorado say ok we can play Wyoming but if another Pac 12 team comes available then we play that instead?

even better Colorado State now available
