I have some old seeds about 4-5 years old and want to see if I can germinate them.

Do seeds get 'old', and if they do, is it harder/impossible to germinate??, is there anything that can be done to get them to germinate.


Now, don't ask me what kind they are, because this all came before the 'Medical' and it was dirt weed that got me high, but had plenty of stems and seeds. But it got me stoned pretty good, so I thought I might try it.

It just depends on how they were stored.

If you don't care about the quality and are just doing it for fun/hobby, have at it.

It will be a hermaphrodite almost certainly, which for me, is not worth the time and effort, but like I said, if it's just for practice and experience, it won't hurt to try.

It's really just for fun and practice, as I don't really expect much out of it.

I missed this. It's a long process...minimum 24 hours but really 36 hours is what it takes. Some of the equipment is expensive so this isn't for many people. If you get to a place that is selling legal weed, buy some rosin and give it a try. But...this is how to process pot into a pure THC content, called rosin. I use this process because it uses only ice and water for extracting the thc. There are no solvents...other than the ice and water. This is a one hour video, so ... none of this is for the faint of heart.

This became my go-to video on what I ended up buying and how to do this right.

My friend does that too with excellent results. Just way too much effort for me to bother with though.

It is a lot of work, but it cuts down on the crap going into the lungs.

While I was surfing YouTube for info, this came up and I had never seen it.
Never buy a tomato plant ever again. It really looks to be this easy.

I tried a few varieties in 8 different cups, and 6 have just sprouted after 7 days.

Agreed.

My smoking of herb has gone way down from the salad daze...

But I eat way more than I burn now. And I don't fuss with it much, a bit of fibre never hurt anybody.

So I simply grind it up in a food processor and make cake. I sort of make what ever butter I can from the detritus but by and large I just dump trim and ground buds into my carrot cake.

Leads to the odd green fart that pisses off the missus, but then everything seems to piss her off anyway...

I toss "off" tomatoes off my sundeck onto the hillside next too it.

I have had several sprout and yield fruit without doing anything to them.
 
Now thru Nov. 11th.
69 degree highs
40 degree lows

a couple of days of rain

no end in sight yet.

Ya, most the shit that is sold in stores, is genetically modified to fuck the seeds.

Not trying to be a dick, but why would the idea of seeds from a fruit or vegetable being able to be planted surprise you?
 
Seeds are cheap af.

If you want to grow and sustain growth, jjust grow shit, and every few years, let it go to seed.
