Some random things at an unexpected time.
got 3 gallon cloth grow pots filled with my amended soil, but with a small golf tennis ball sized at the top for my peat moss. I figure it will take some time to grow thru that and mature some before it hits the 'hotter' soil.
I ordered 3 gallon fabric pots but got 2 gallon. I went ahead and used them for the first autoflowers.
Have some tomato plants that sprouted and are under the light also.
I started 3 kinds of Tomatoes.
1. Dug up the roots of the good producers right before the freeze.
2. Took cuttings and cloned them.
3. Cut tomato slices and started them in a pot.
By far, the slices in a pot is far superior than the other 2, in my environment.
#1 & #2 plants just aren't looking good. They won't be making it.
The slices, early, I cut the growth back to just one stalk.
Most are 2ft tall, moving to 3 feet tall; just transplanted into a 3 gallon plastic pots, root bound, going great.
Have 4 autoflowers that have all broken the soil surface. They are all a day or two apart, so the are 1/2" to 1 1/2" tall.
3 made it.
1. Out of the 4 autoflowers that are up, the one in peat moss is half the size of the others. The other 3 were put in a soil mix.
2. The 1 photo period seed I had, I put into the pot 24 hours ago with a tail about 3/4". It's already 1 1/2" tall.
The one in Peat Moss didn't make it. I think it was a combination of things, Christmas being one of them.
I had trouble up front because I had them in the garage and it gets down to 57 degrees at night.
Found out they don't like that. (Tomatoes seem to be fine with it.)
I move them all into the house. They are doing fine now.
The Autoflowers are 4" tall now and growing good. Probably had some lost time, but nothing I can do now.
The 1 Photo period that came up didn't make it.
The 2nd one is though.
Have 3 more Auto's breaking the surface right now.
Muchacha is the name from some seed company. 6 seeds for $40 so I went for it.
One in the 2 gallon fabric, one in a 3 gallon fabric, and one in a 5 gallon fabric pot.
We will see how much difference size makes.
Going from Humidity tents to hardening off was a challenge at first, but this 2nd round is going a lot better, I think partly due to increasing the temperature.
The Clone I had almost bit the dust. I think it had some nutrient lockout and the leaves were looking bad. I jumped into action and transplanted it into a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket and flushed the ever loving shit out of it......... It looks like it's going to make it.
One Dispensary said they carry clones closer to April, so there's a source.
Also found out that you don't need your Medical Card to buy Cannabis Seeds in Oklahoma.
Anyone can buy them. Good thing to know for anyone wanting them, and passing though.
Sorry for all the info, but the Holidays en sech.
Any pointers are welcome
