My wife barely tolerates the one plant I do outside in the summer. She’d go ballistic if I tried to do it inside. But my one plant and the drops I buy it. The government pot store are enough.

So will sitting there and sucking your fingers. I do that sometimes. But you have to have something alcoholic to get it out of your mouth and pass through. I've also washed my fingers in my beer before.

But when I'm doing a lot of pruning I wear the latex gloves and give them an alcohol wash. Never tried butter on those. I love finger hash from pruning. Like a thick oil with sediment...

I did friction rubs with my thumbs and fingers and let the crumbs fall into to the plate. Didn't lose much.

We figured out that the fat in butter absorbed the THC and would use all of our trimmings to make THC and or Green Butter.

For some reason and I don't remember why....we found out we could clean our fingers with butter after we were done trimming.
 
Finally got the environment I needed, set up. Grow tent, lights, humidifier, heater, circulation fan, exhaust fan, etc.
This has done more to help the grow than anything else.

First 3 Autoflowers are in week 8, out of a total of 12 weeks I think. All 3 seem different, as in height, shape, and 2 have flowered and 1 is just about to. So I'll try to sort that out. Didn't get very big, mainly due to initial environment I think.

Chlorine in your water.
It's not what I thought.

Municipalities use Chlorine to disinfect their water as we know.
What I didn't know is that many Municipalities, including Oklahoma City, use Chloramine instead of Chlorine. Yeah, I know, WTF is Chloramine ??

Well, it's chlorine plus ammonia that bonds together and doesn't fucking evaporate. A 5 gallon bucket of chlorinated water will be chlorine free in about 24 hours. WHOA, NOT CHLORAMINE.

Fuck no. That same bucket of water with Chloramine MIGHT be free of it in 30-40 days. WTF, didn't know that.
I'm thinking this is the cause of some issues with the plants. I'll let you know

I looked all over for a solution. Filters cost a $1000 dollars so fuck that.

Yep, found it. And you will never believe it.
100% Vitamin C powder, or Ascorbic Acid.
Yeah, no shit.

In less than 10 minutes that shit is gone out of the water.
1 Tablespoon fixes about 50 gallons of water; Yeah, wrap your head around it.

Ordered Vitamin C Powder. 2 lbs which is enough to de-Chloramine thousands of gallons of water for $20.
 
Getting a shrub bed ready for 6 plants this Summer. They will all be Photoperiods. Already in grow tent and topped. I'll have to keep these shorter and bushier. SCROG

Going to plant a cherry tomato hedge in front of it to hide it, per State law. Also 3 feet tall in the garage.

Using cattle panels and fence posts.
It's a 6' x 14' shrub bed, so not nearly that big

I'll keep 6 Autoflowers going all the time, in grow bags, and hide them around the yard where nobody can see them.

Recommendations ?
 
Ended up buying 12 bags of Black Kow and 6 bags of the new hapi-gro, as a soil base; I'll add various fertilizers to it later.


For the Weed plants, I'm going to buy the Fox Farms Ocean Forest, about 1 bag per plant/hole.
Will amend the bottom of those holes with extra bone meal and the like for when they flower.

Those planting holes are about 2' wide, 2' deep.

Have ordered a 10' x 14' 60% shade cloth with gromets to help everything acclimate to the Sun when I transplant into the ground, and later, when the temps get into the hundreds.



What is everybody else doing to get ready for the growing season.
Any special fertilizer recommendations ?
 
One thing I am trying to avoid is transplanting the Cannabis from the grow tent to outside, and BAM, they start to flower.

So, I have reduced indoor lighting from 18/6 to 17/7, and now to 16/8......trying to match the 'hours of sunlight' I get naturally, around the time I'm planning on transplant, which is going to be May 15.

May 15th, in my area, reaches the 14 hours per day mark, and increasing. That is the number of hours I have read, is the 'safe' area. Anything less might trigger them into flower.

Memorial Weekend and I'm up to about 14 1/2 hours.

'Civil Twilight' needs to be up to about 15 hours per night, from what I've read, so anytime between May 15th and Memorial Day should work.

To hide my 'project' from my neighbors to the West, I used a cattle panel to make an arch.

What date do you guys plant/move to outside?
I was thinking around Memorial Day here. Is that too early or late.
 
I'm down to the very end of last year's grow.
Smoking the same thing for 4 months straight, I had a suspicion that I had developed a 'tolerance' to it, and that anything new would get me super high.

I bought some 'Tropical Cherry'; it says hybrid, but the guy said it was Indica dominant, so whatever.
It was some 'mid range' stuff and cheap enough.

I have to tell you, I wasn't wrong. It's going according to plan.

This stuff is purple. Yeah, no shit, dark and purple.
Had to get it.
 
Temps between now and Easter, April 9th.

Highs: 65-85
Lows: 45-65

Almost time to plant some things in the garden.
I'm waiting to transplant my weed from the grow tent to outside until Memorial Weekend.
That gives me 14 1/2 hours of Daylight and 15 hours of Civil Twilight. That ought to keep them from going into flower.
Currently at 15/9 in the grow tent. Hesitant to go any lower.

I think I'll stick some seeds in the ground after Easter and see how those do.



What's Your Plan Man ???
 
It's still early here for outdoor growing. Highs are only getting into the 40's for now. I will start some seeds mid to late April so I'll have seedlings to put in the ground in May. The old farmers saying for this area is in the ground by Memorial day weekend, then knee high by 4th of July makes for a great harvest in September. That sort of works for me and pot.
