tOSU Locks Up Ryan Day 4-Life

Well, no one thinks they are going to lose in the NFL, but they all want to play there.
He hasn’t even been a defensive coordinator since he left the Patriots. Hes been a randomly assigned defensive analyst title at multiple teams after being fired as HC by the Lions. He only coached in college as a grad assistant. There’s no evidence he can develop a college kid into an NFL player, and there’s no evidence he can successfully lead a defense that isn’t under Bill Belichick.

This is an absolutely hilarious hire.

Poll tOSU fans and I bet 99% of them don't give a shit about the results of the last four UM games since they won the natty.

Hell, Jexas can fucking sweep us for the next decade if it means we get a natty or two in there.
It doesn’t matter what they say, it matters how they feel inside.

Chip Kelly only scored 10 points against us which lead to the biggest upset in rivalry history, huh?

As a Lions fan I understand this hire more than you think I do. Enjoy lol.

Did he get hired as the HC? How has he done as a DC?

He got fired for sucking as a HC of the Lions and hasn't been hired as a DC for any team since. His only successful defensive coordinator experience was under Bill belichick, a couple years shy of a decade ago now. He has 0 college experience, 0 development experience, 0 recruiting experience.

I'm not sure how anyone in their right mind can be positive about this. It's comically bad. Like, if I had to choose a hire to take down the Ohio State program, I would pick Matt Patricia.

No point in arguing with the retard about this. He will just keep screaming how bad Patricia was as a HC. Lots of good coordinators fail at being a HC, doesn't mean he's any less of a good coordinator, and he was a pretty good DC in the NFL.

Patricia hasn't been a defensive coordinator since 2017....he's never coached in college beyond being a grad assistant. I'm curious, in what way do you believe this IS a good hire?

He was pretty fucking terrible in Philly last year.
Well, given Vic Fangio is the Philly DC I'm not sure how you'd evaluate the performance of a random defensive assistant on staff?

0 NFL teams have given him a DC position since he was fired by the Lions. Sure, he seems good enough to be an analyst somewhere.

Fun fact, the Patriot's defense actually improved AFTER he left lol.

He was a defensive analyst in the 2023 season. We sucked on defense. He called the defensive plays down the stretch where we had that epic collapse.

He is so used to being wrong that he argues with you when you were actually adding to his point

Yeah his response didn't make any sense. Fangio wasn't the DC in 2023 when Patricia was there. My guess is he thought Patricia was on staff in 2024, and since we had a great defense didn't want him to take any credit.

It’s news to me he was hired for HC position at Ohio St. I guess Day is gone now. Chip sucked as a HC too

Oh, I did think he was still on staff (that was that last I heard of his landing spot). Did he get fired then after the 2023 season? I was actually giving him some credit for Philly's year this year. lol, it's even WORSE than I thought.

I thought your first post was sarcasm. IE "he was pretty fucking terrible (and we won the super bowl)"

Newsflash, no one cares what they did against michigan. They won the natty.
I bet he still brags about that one time in junior high where he hit a 3 pointer after they brought the benchwarmers in a blowout

I was mistaken, see above. I thought he was still with Philly. But agreed -- this is even worse. I was giving him credit this year lol.

He wasn't retained. I'm not sure if he got fired or was just on a one year deal.

No I was being serious. The eagles defense went from awesome in 2022, to just about worst in the league in 2023, to back being awesome in 2024.
