Idk FSU's QB situation but doubt this guy wins the job

Castellanos, originally a transfer from UCF, played for Boston College for 1.5 seasons before he was benched against Syracuse in 2024 and subsequently left the team completely.

Under new head coach Bill O’Brien, Castellanos struggled to adapt to his new offensive system and even seemed to regress as a passer. His QBR dropped to last in the ACC and his running stats took a huge nosedive from where they were in 2023. He often would run backwards, fail to throw the ball away, and take bad sacks that hamstrung the entire offense. And other teams were able to key in on his lack of passing ability and stacked the box as a result, forcing his runningbacks to run into walls and neutralizing the explosiveness of his own running ability.

It's not good.

Their highly rated QB from last years class is in the portal, the only QB in the incoming class is the #24 QB in the composite.

Brock Glenn has a 42% completion with 4TD/7INT in his career so far. and Trever Jackson who was walk are the only returning QBs who have taken snaps (Jackson has not thrown a pass)

Guessing theres a very good chance he wins the job,

So what’s going to end up happening is the “have nots” are just going to end up being minor leagues for the “haves”. The minor league school’s fans will lose interest and their teams will fold. In the very long run this will kill the sport unless guardrails are put in.

Having watched ND dismantle Purdue I don’t know why anyone would be excited about a transfer from there. He’s no George Karloftis.

I don't know jj, have you been to some of those minor league baseball games. Many of those smaller places really enjoy those games. Some of them are a real blast.

While I think you are right, there is one thing that always make me change my thinking. I think when the "haves" finally crush the "have nots" totally, overall interest in CFP will diminish greatly. Only followers of the "haves" will remain engaged much in CFB.

And then I wake up a realize the viewership/ratings monster that is the NFL. So CFB might become NFL lite in viewership/ratings which will be pretty damn good. Maybe even increase without the "have not" fans. We shall see because it will happen sooner rather than later.
