Transfer Portal

From Raleigh. Could be NC State bound.

Wade is gonna get them in the tournament in year 1, I'm convinced. I'm predicting a big bounce year for the ACC next year. I think NC State, Notre Dame, GT, VT and UVA will all be much better next year.

interesting read

I'm surprised to learn Houston ouspent Gonzaga, I don't know if that's true, and if is, it's probably close.

Money is a big factor, but there's still variability, evidenced by UNC and Kansas having embarassments of seasons despite having all of the resources available to them.

I think this year is a blip somewhat. Dominated by football schools.

Also ... guys are transferring from mid-majors to majors in the blink of an eye, but former Top 100 recruits who don't get PT are leaving majors to go the opposite direction too. Sometimes those guys blossom down there. In the past, those guys who have been deterred by the sit out a year and just stuck it out

yep. stating the obvious here, but schools manage their money is so crucial. i don't think Hubert knows how to manage it. UNC dropped 600k on a HS recruit that is rated #60 on 247. very little chance that kid is worth that much.

as dumb as it sounds, Wake may have been better served letting Sallis walk instead of paying him 1.5-2m. could probably gotten two solid starters with that money.

i'm pretty amazed that Forbes could never find PT for this guy. he's had really good games against Purdue, Florida and Virginia Tech in the last two years. clearly a high major level player. probably a good starter.

Donovan Dent to UCLA.

Jesus. RJ Luis in the portal.

You're the star player and your coach benches you for the last 5 minutes of an NCAA tournament game.

Not good if you want to keep that player

Yep for sure. Gonna guess he'll get $2m+ from someone. Probably in the SEC.

Houston has an enrollment of 40K so say 10K graduate a year if you just split it up and Gonzaga has an enrollment of 7,500 so that would be 1,800 that graduate a year. Houston's alumni grows more than 8,200 people a year than the Zags so thats 80K more over 10 years and 160K over 20. Plus, Houston is in rich oil country.

There is no way Gonzaga can spend what Houston does.

Thank god, dude was awful, wasn't even close to being even a average B1G player.

Hope in the future we stay away from these former 5 star where the blue blood program they started with was not even sad to see them go

Meechie Johnson has got to figure his fucking life out.

6 years of college basketball. Going from OSU to SC back to OSU back to SC. Is fucking absurd.

And they say most jobs don’t like to see job hopping on your resume. This dude doin that shit on roids.

2020/21 guys getting a COVID year has always been retarded. there was an NCAAT that year. tough shit. the only guys that could have an argument for an extra year are VCU players because they were forced to forfeit during the NCAAT.

we have reached the point of insanity where guys that don't have any eligibility remaining are entering the portal. Reid wants an extra year because he had to sit out Wake's first eight games in 2023/24 because NCAA was still reviewing his case for immediate eligibility as a two-time transfer. then the decision that players can transfer as many times as they want was made.

from my understanding, Wake isn't willing to wait around to see if Reid can come back next year because they need a sure thing at center.

Damn. Louisville's backcourt next year is gonna be strong. Picked up Cromwell and Wooley along with bringing in a top 10 FR.

Tavian Banks into the portal with a do not contact

Hopefully headed to Iowa City
