Could impending rev-share changes help Cinderellas in the future? 'Everybody will be in the game'
As the college sports industry sits on the brink of historic change, an unexpected spending disparity looms — and some mid-majors will be able to take advantage of it in basketball.sports.yahoo.com
interesting read
yep. stating the obvious here, but schools manage their money is so crucial. i don't think Hubert knows how to manage it. UNC dropped 600k on a HS recruit that is rated #60 on 247. very little chance that kid is worth that much.I'm surprised to learn Houston ouspent Gonzaga, I don't know if that's true, and if is, it's probably close.
Money is a big factor, but there's still variability, evidenced by UNC and Kansas having embarassments of seasons despite having all of the resources available to them.
I think this year is a blip somewhat. Dominated by football schools.
Also ... guys are transferring from mid-majors to majors in the blink of an eye, but former Top 100 recruits who don't get PT are leaving majors to go the opposite direction too. Sometimes those guys blossom down there. In the past, those guys who have been deterred by the sit out a year and just stuck it out
I was impressed with that kid.Donovan Dent to UCLA.
Jesus. RJ Luis in the portal.
You're the star player and your coach benches you for the last 5 minutes of an NCAA tournament game.
Not good if you want to keep that player
Houston has an enrollment of 40K so say 10K graduate a year if you just split it up and Gonzaga has an enrollment of 7,500 so that would be 1,800 that graduate a year. Houston's alumni grows more than 8,200 people a year than the Zags so thats 80K more over 10 years and 160K over 20. Plus, Houston is in rich oil country.I'm surprised to learn Houston ouspent Gonzaga, I don't know if that's true, and if is, it's probably close.

2020/21 guys getting a COVID year has always been retarded. there was an NCAAT that year. tough shit. the only guys that could have an argument for an extra year are VCU players because they were forced to forfeit during the NCAAT.Meechie Johnson has got to figure his fucking life out.
6 years of college basketball. Going from OSU to SC back to OSU back to SC. Is fucking absurd.
And they say most jobs don’t like to see job hopping on your resume. This dude doin that shit on roids.
