Yeah, if the primary reason for hiring him was because he would have good connections with Minnesota kids, this definitely isn't a good start. Gabe wasn't going to make or break the team next year, but I do think he would have been a good guy to bridge the gap between him and the 2022 recruiting class. If Johnson doesn't land at least 2 of the 4 star prospects in the 2022 class in MN he's not going to be successful.

if Kessler never announced his intention to transfer, Roy is probably still the coach. definitely provides a weird dynamic
as someone that thinks college basketball is more fun when UNC is near the top, i'm not a fan of the Davis hire. I have a bad feeling that he is going to suck.

a guard that shoots 26% from deep, 56% from the line and averages more TO's than assists

Yeah, pretty underwhelming. He was a zero star prospect out of high school, had to go the JuCo route and then avg 12 ppg at UNH, an awful team, and missed this last season with injury. Our roster is going to look so bad. I don't have much hope with the remaining 4/5 scholarships, depending on what the incoming recruits do. It's for real looking like our starting backcourt could be guys that played at William & Mary and Lafayette. Lmao. Fucking brutal.
