@moxie - I hope you and Izzy are doin' ok in this insane heat. If the forecasters are correct, it may well not let up until next week. :gaah:

Thank gawd for AC (which I had installed last year, but wondered if I'd made a mistake - whether I'd unnecessarily spent thousands I didn't really need to. Nope. I am soooooooooooo glad I got it. I have a feeling I'll have a few extra guests in my house - my friends who don't have AC, lol.
shit & BALLS it's hot! I've had the thermostat set to about 70 since yesterday morning. I turned it off at maybe 10p and it was back on at 10am. When I took Izzy out for pees yesterday, I had to keep taking my shoes off to test the ground. She was probably so confused that I wouldn't let her just walk around and kept putting her on the shaded grass  I feel bad for my plants - i've drawn the curtains/blinds to keep it darker/cooler but they are used to getting quite a bit of light, so I hope this doesn't make them saddypants. I did put a grow light in the bathroom and put a few of the sensitive sallys in there.

Glad you made the investment in the AC...just a couple of days of this crap a year is worth it, IMO!

I have been at this job 8 months and only come to the office around 2 days a week and there’s already been two instances of cops drawing guns on a dude outside the window…

At least the cops are there...

Can't believe I'm doing the 9/9/9 baseball challenge tomorrow.

Having to watch the White Sox is just mean

And now I'm starving and don't want to turn the stove or oven on and i don't have sammich or salad stuffs, i'm not dressed so I don't want to go outside and i'm cheap so i don't want to pay for food delivery. Guess when it's your time, it's your time!

FUCK! House insurance jumped from $934/yr to $1,394/yr, up 50%. Goddamn thieves.

FUCK.

I better shop around.
Jake told Californians to just fuck off. Won't even provide coverage anymore. I think I read somewhere that 7 of the 12 largest insurers won't write policies for CA anymore. What a joke this state has become.

OK, closed the deal with another insurer for $989/yr.
You live in a hovel?

SHE wanted to watch the movie. I wanted to watch a game. Now I'm sitting here looking at a paused screen while the game ends and she's still on the phone.

What company issues that policy for under $1k annual premium?
