Not wrong at all. I avoided potlucks like the plague. You don't know the sanitary standards of the people who are preparing the food and whether it is handled correctly.

I recall a potluck some years ago when about 10-12 people called in sick the next day.

Another time, a dude bringing in one of he main entrees walked out of the bathroom stall and didn't wash his hands. Other people were also in there and it didn't phase him one bit. Guess how he behaves at his home.

Still after four months don’t really know how I’m viewed here officially, but Senior member of the team approached me about trying to poach people from my former company to backfill someone who is retiring next week.
