Tuesday...National Check Yo Wipers Day

The federal benefits ended too

As mentioned the issue is pretty complex and not one simple fix or simple partisan political point

I'll give just one example, my friends wife has decided to not return to work force and instead doing her as an artist, she makes a lot less $$, but they've been able to get by just fine. So one person out of workforce that was previously in it, but will never return.

She's not lazy, she's just pursuing her own passions and they have ability to do so. Also with children having to do schooling from home last year, and even this year their kid had to spend 2 weeks at home after covid exposure, it makes most sense

but on the hoop, we're not interested in logic or complex answers

“artist” good luck to your friend and her only fans page.

temps are going to hit 70 on Thursday...might mean I have to get out and wash and wax my truck...

Not my place to tell them their business (because they surely know more about it than I do), but it seems to me closing on a Monday would make more sense than Sunday. Lowe’s and Home Depot are always busy on Sundays.

I agree...not sure why they picked a Sunday to close.

I would tend to agree. You would think weekends would be your prime business days because that is when most people are going to tackle hardware store type projects. But they obviously have data we do not.

They may need to pay more to employees on Sundays

I also don't believe it's because young people are lazy, sure some are, but so were prior generations. Some of the jobs not being filled, lets be honest, suck.

If the job sucks, then become better qualified for a career that sucks less. Right here you contradict yourself by saying young people aren’t lazy then follow it up with some lame excuse. Breaking news, not everybody is out there doing whatever they want and getting paid huge money to do it only a few hours a week. It’s called work - not play time.

can't believe some countries just have a fucking hole in the floor and a hose to clean yourself off with. fucking savages.
IF you have bad knees, that "squatting" over the hole stuff must be a lot of fun... :twitch:

Yeah, thats what I'm saying, they found something better to do

I find this discussion kind of interesting as none of my 3 kids hold "jobs". 2 have small construction companies and the 3rd teaches online classes for colleges. All 3 are so damn busy but have no interest in expanding.

a friend of mine says he uses them and puts them in his trash can...which is absolutely disgusting.

ever been to mexico?

just all inclusives

go into a bathroom used by mexicans... there's a trash can next to every toilet. All paper goes in there. It's fucking disgusting.

Even in areas like my office that has decent plumbing and sewer, it's a cultural thing that will take generations to go away.

Yeah, I worked at a salad plant for a little while, and the folks I hired were generally of the low-income variety ($5/hr minimum wage job). We had people who threw out toilet paper instead of flushing. Twas odd to have that conversation with someone.

don't read this thread for a minute, come back and remember how retarded a lot of you are. the biggest take away from the stimulating conversation on why people aren't working is it reminds me how some of you fucking idiots have people willing to pay you in the first place.

over the weekend someone got a hold of my credit card number and spent some moneys on a couple of those city scooter rides through Spin Mobility then some money at the Playstation Store...then finally $30 at Taco Bell through doordash...

card is cancelled now, but I am going to have to do some password changes to figure out where they grabbed my card number info...
