UGA bitch slaps the Atlanta Journal Constitution ...

It's a simple concept for me - I am on a bunch of forums and spend way too much time here and elsewhere. If someone is a troll, or just doesn't post good content, I Ignore them. It allows me to pay more attention to people who post good content. It's not always someone you "don't like" or who says things you don't agree with - I love hearing contrary viewpoints. I value my time too much to have to work through worthless content.
Also, you like to make shit up and repeat what others have said then ignore people when you are asked to back it up.

Now write me another manifesto, bitch.

LOL, you are one whiny, crying, little man.

No one quoted me, so how did you see that post if I'm on ignore?

And I think it funny that you think me kicking your ass about lying and running away is "whining". No, whining is what you did when I besmirched your precious Stetson.

Wouldn’t that defeat the whole purpose of ignore?

You find any here yet?

Hypothesis stated.

And refuted.
Sheesh ... why do this to myself.

Yes, it does defeat most of the purpose - as I said in my original post, it's an imperfect feature. Most other boards implement it much better, but not all of them. By not seeing new posts, and not getting notifications of responses, most of the purpose is effectuated.

I do find good content here. Lot's of troll posts, but for the most part there are good substantive posts for multiple fanbases. It's a welcome break from just UGA boards.

I don't get your last two quotes - my time is very valuable (in my line of work there is an actual dollar amount attached to it). Everyone has hobbies, and you can't spend all your time working. This is a part of one of my hobbies - CFB. So, if I am going to spend my valuable time here and on other boards, I try to make sure that the signal-to-noise ratio is as high as it can be. You do that by eliminating the noise, hence the use of the Ignore button. One who values his time can pursue less serious activities that have a non-monetary value. There is nothing inconsistent about that.
