There's using NIL as a bonus to kids who actually want to be there and then there's using NIL to outright buy guys who never woulda given you much of a serious look if the bag wasn't there. You want to avoid the latter
Yeah -- That is why it didn't bother me giving Underwood that deal. He was born and raised a Michigan fan. I honestly thought he wanted to get out of the area, as his hometown isn't the best. They are stacked as a football team, but Belleville, as a whole, isn't the nicest city.

McCauley from Indiana is supposed to transfer in. I'm sure there will be others.
There simply has to be. That's the biggest position of need in the portal class, experienced WR's. Ideally they'd pick up like 4 of them to be honest. TE seems fine. RB seems fine. QB seems almost fine, but a veteran would be good to have. OL could add a guy or two. Defense seems like they have the depth to potentially fill in with very few dramatic needs (like we have on offense). Michigan started off horrible on passing defense, and that got better and better throughout the year.

Maybe Morris wants to go to a team with a more established offense?

I think it's more likely that. Veteran players aren't gonna stick around to see how a incoming freshman QB actually performs.
Let's be honest. Tyler Morris isn't going to light up the field, no matter where he goes. He is a 5'11" receiver and he's doesn't have lightning speed.

Michigan needs to get bigger at WR. ALOT bigger. Our WR's looked like the years of Rich Rod, when he wanted all the tiny scat back WR

They will have WR's who want to play with Underwood, who will join UM. It comes with the territory. Not worried about us having WR's for next year.

Established guys in the portal aren't gonna risk playing in a unknown offense with a freshman QB, you are way over estimating the effect Underwood has on portal guys.

...and for a program that should be hearing about punishment for a litany of offenses, soon.

The Portal is going to be flooded with players -- I'm not worried about getting WR's. It is one of the easiest positions to fill.
I'd be more worried if we were having to re-tool our defense with portal guys.

Just taking any random WRs that will say yes is gonna end up close to the same as what you had this year pretty much.

Obviously they aren't going to do that. They are looking for size on the outside. That's why they went after McCauley at 6'5" and are going after Meadows at 6'5".

Michigan predicted to flip five-star Alabama commit

This is the headline today from On3 CFB expert -- he put in his crystal ball that Michigan will flip Ty Haywood. He doesn't commit until February though.

I'm think you are starting to see some of that money cannon you were speaking about come into play

Just being tall does not make a WR good.
Thank you Captain Obvious. McCauley had a year with 700 yards receiving for Indiana. Meadows is one of the top WR's in the class of 2025.

I'm not saying Michigan is going to have a WR room like Ohio does. I'm saying they want to get bigger on the outside. Michigan can't throw the ball downfield for a 50/50 ball when the CB's are bigger than our WR's. :pound:

And Meadows is going to Alabama

Where is this info that McCulley is definitely going to Michigan coming from? Don't say Scam Webb or Holland or any of those notorious sunshine pumpers please. A player visiting does not automatically = they are going there.

Again, Meadows is committed to LSU. He hasn't flipped anywhere unless I missed it.

McCauley was on campus this past week. Nothing is set in stone, as you can't do anything for another week. They just predicted it was where he was going to go.

Literally everyone in the know says Michigan is not getting Meadows, this INCLUDES the Michigan sunshine pumpers I referenced in my last post.

I guess he could stick with LSU but its more likely gonna be Bama he signs with

I just know he was a guy they were looking to get. If they lose him to Bama. No big deal. Quincy Porter is another guy they were going to try and flip. That would be fun if we could do that our buddy Ohio.

Lol that's not happening, hilarious how you guys throw some NIL money out and think youre now flipping everyone.
