UM folds ... accepts punishment

Seems like it’s still in tact to me.

Ill Be Back Jim Carrey GIF

Eligibility for military "retirement" is 20 years.

They're using the wrong terminology here. "Separated" would be the proper terminology.

As long as his discharge was 'honorable', he would certainly qualify for a VA loan which is 100% of the mortgage. i.e. No down payment necessary.
I truly have no idea. Every story describing him says he is a retired USMC captain. The Washington Post even printed a retraction saying he wasn't a retired Naval Captain, but a retired USMC captain.

My brother, who was in the USMC said the same thing you did about 20 years. He said something about early retirement programs they have or temporary retirement, but at that point, I really stopped listening, as he starts talking in abbreviations and letters whenever he talks military.

Portney has gone from dead serious defending UM to basically becoming a parody account. He knows UM is cooked. His more recent posts are pretty funny.

It keeps getting better and better ...

So much for you moving along in your grief. This isn't healthy ...
Do I think that SOMEONE probably knew? Maybe. But I think it’s also totally possibly still that this crazy individual was doing crazy things on his own. That could change with more evidence. And obviously I understand why non Michigan fans believe one while Michigan fans believe the other. And I think what happens to Michigan with the ncaa hinges on this very thing.

Good point ... sort of like teh UM guys going back and pointing out to cheating that other teams did 40 years ago.

I can say. I wish our boosters were handing bags of cash to recruits for the last 20 years like all the sec schools and Ohio state, rather than legally giving them to an analyst to do whatever he wanted with.

They were paying players and you know it.

"Retired" means he'd be getting a pension. You only qualify for a pension at 20 years. Even if he got out on a disability, it wouldn't be "retirement".
It would simply be "separated".

"Active Duty Retirement

Members who accumulate 20 or more years of active service are eligible for retirement."

Maybe. But no connection with his direct report except actions to destroy evidence seems like it also might be where it ends.
Stallions was in the ears of the OC and DC with the HC listening during games. There is more.

Not saying it was 100% just Stallions, but a month into the investigation and there is zero information any coach knew about it other than Stallions. Partridge was fired, but the report states he knew nothing about the scheme and was fired for his actions to hide evidence for Stallions.

If any other coach had been tied to it -- they would have been, bare minimum, suspended with pay. The NCAA investigation will take forever, but if this was a scheme from the top with all these coaches tied to it -- SOMETHING would come out about it.

That ain’t evidence. That’s what he was hired to do. It’s not evidence that they knew he was getting information through illegal means.

You can actually type this with how wrong you have been the past 3 weeks? It ain't ending there and you know it.

Just go read your lawyer nonsense. And the lone wolf nonsense. And the TRO nonsense. You have been wrong at every turn, but this may be the worst ... it ain't close to ending.
