Under the Porch with the Guide Bear!

I have a MAJOR aversion to plastic lumber! Blech! Plastic lumber reduces ANY project to an episode of Dunce Crafting.

Good Morning Kind Friends!

You're wrong.

But don't let my almost 40 years of construction experience get in your way.

Alright let me get this straight. You saying plastic wood is stronger, better and easier than wood? Just wondering. My days of wanting to do anything like that is long since gone.

My company moved from wood pallets to plastic pallets a year ago. That's all I got.

I have to leave for the VA in just a few minutes for my six month screen. I am 100% sure my numbers will still be stable, probably for at least a few more years.
You say your numbers will be stable. Is that the normal 6 month TBC or are they watching your White cell count closely? I take my father to the VA every six months and they do the normal blood tests. If they are watching white cell counts, generally it's either every 3 or 4 months. But I don't know about how the VA does that.

I was talking about baseboards or trim that you're going to paint anyway.

Wood is finger jointed together. Not solid in it's length a lot of times. I've seen 3 finger joints on a 7 ft piece of door casing.

Hi Jon, does your Dad have prostate cancer too? Me and my PA, PA= physicians assistant, her name is Princess and we never talk about white blood cells. She does all the work of a doctor and then at the end of our appt. a real doctor just makes a quick appearance.

There's this thing called a PSA number and it is the most important indicator. If it spikes it likely means the cancer is getting busy. My PSA# is below 1. And BTW, so far I am beating the odds, big time too. But Jon, this isn't my favorite part of being a Senior, swapping ailment stories!

Being a colorful character, I got the YELLOW fever and a case of the BLUE balls which in turn caused me an episode of gang GREEN!
And then I got SCARLET fever in my WHITE blood cells and now I got PINK eye too!

Because I prefer real wood over plastic, it doesn't make either of us 'right or wrong'. It's a personal preference.

But yes, please do explain "almost 40 years of construction experience" that you have. Are you a tradesman of some sort?

@Camfantasy , I'm getting a new TV delivered this morning. I got a LG 65" OLED-C1. I hope it passes your muster!
I got it from Amazon and they are letting me have it before it's even paid in full. I get to make 4 monthly payments with no interest, pretty cool!

When I bought my last TV ten years ago I gave the sales guys the business! I knew beforehand that what I wanted did not exist but I DEMANDED it anyway. I told the sales guy that I wanted a TV that has built in surround sound and all I needed was the speakers!

The C1 is one of the best TVs on the market from a quality to price ratio. You should love the picture quality. OLEDs are beautiful sets with infinite contrast ratios and the deepest blacks available on any TV..... But keep in mind you have to baby them if you want them to last a long time. Static images over long periods are the enemy. Google "oled burn in" and you will see what a static image over a long time will do to it. It won't happen over night or just once.... But repeated neglect will ruin one over time.

Awesome dude.

My Visios are getting it done. One is 11 years old. The other is a recent 4K.

PSA is the indicator they use for the prostate. For other cancers the white cell count is the first indicator. You go every 6 months but my oncologist has me on a 4 month watch. Just had a check the middle of July and my count was 16.8. Said it was good for now. Go the middle of Nov. for the annual PET scan. Then we'll see where things really are.
Was looking at MD Anderson's site and saw something called a pencil laser proton therapy. It's a type of radiation, but they pinpoint the laser on each cell instead of a general area radiation. I'm going to wait to see the results of the PET scan before doing anything. That sounds a lot better than chemo and body radiation. It should be easier to do with on the lymphoma cells. But for now still on that "watch and wait" thingie.

He is into plastic construction.....

Here is actual footage of at him at work.
HAHAHA! If @Fish in a bowl don't explain his "almost 40 years of construction experience", I may think his claim is suspect...

But there is NO substitute for experience and in almost 40 years, one could easily become a celebrated Dunce Crafter, crafting with plastics and macaroni noodles and whatnot.

I can't wait to see what you created, how very exciting!

All right, that's all good news then, thanks Cam! That burn in thing from a static picture, I thought that was a thing of the past so I'm glad you reminded me. It's not hooked up yet, I still need to fasten the TV mount on the wall.
