USA Men's Soccer

Anybody watch Poch debut tonight? How did they look? I don't expect anything too dramatic since its so soon but was the energy up at least?

Somewhat of a high press.
Good energy.

Panama had scored a goal in their last five meetings with the US, so I guess it was good.

I watched it. Poch playing a back 3. Yes good energy I agree. No slacking like previous Canada game. Also a lot players missing so kind of a makeshift lineup. No Reyna, Balugan, Cardoso, De La Torre, Adams, Weah, Richards, Dest. I thought they were ok. Robinson was very good on the first goal to Musah and overall very good. Sargent missed a sitter....of course. Wright made great play for the Pepi goal. But Panama especially in 2nd half had some great chances. They missed a point blank sitter. Had numerous other chances but most the time the defense blocked them.. Turner made two huge saves. Since these are friendlies, Poch subbed Pulisic, Robinson and a few others early in 2nd half. McKennie was there on bench, but did not come in. Commentators said he did not want to send the big minute players back to their clubs in worse condition. Anyways, maybe saving energy for Tuesday and Mexico. You know McKennie will probably end up with a red card in that game.

Mauricio Berhalter. I know the roster is thin, but man there is zero midfield tonight. Also, Aaronson is not a USA quality player anymore. Brutal with the giveaways:

Well back to no energy. You’d think they would be up for a game against Mexico. So basically this team is Pulisic and Robinson and a bunch of ghosts. Poch has a lot of work to do. It will be awhile before many on tonight’s roster will get a call up again.

Didn't catch the game last night, but saw we are 3-1 under Mauricio Pochettino

Poch already the best manager in US history

Heard Poch interview this week. Said he would like to return to Spurs at some point. Hmmmm… lose to Panama. This summer? When Ange gets fired?

Unlike previous years when players had something to prove, these players had somewhere to go aka the night clubs and bougie restaurants in LA. Golden generation my ass. Only Antonee Robinson ( and he a Brit) and Pulisic (maybe) can be called golden. The rest…meh.

USA men’s soccer has fallen off a cliff.
