Just saying it makes a lot more sense for the B1G to get SC and Stanford. Stanford is more important that UCLA because Stanford and SC puts pressure on Notre Dame to join which is still the big fish.

Sacramento needs a nice Asteroid "smackdown"...But that doesn’t really change that though. This is just coming from a state that fights over the same shady stuff. Within 2 years there will be legislation saying UCLA will have to revenue share with entire California public university schools.
I don’t disagree. I would say the same about Seattle but we are desperately holding onto their leg like a wife who’s husband just found out she cheating on at their wedding day.Sacramento needs a nice Asteroid "smackdown"...![]()

USC wants UCLA and not to leave the So Cal market open to the rest of the PAC.
I think it was two fold on why they chose UCLA. It locks up the entire LA market and it is a rivalry school for USC to pair them with. What UCLA does with their revenue, I don't think anyone cares. That is up to them. But that’s the thing with the west coast teams, outside of SC there isn’t a “market” that is brought in because the west coast sports fans are all transplants. So I get the move “bringing in LA market” but from UCLA’s perspective I don’t. They are a public school who now has to spend a crap load of money on expenses for the Olympic sports and some of the revenue they receive will end not going to the university.
relax man, wasn't NorthWestern in the CCG not too long ago?I wonder who USC's new coach will be when Riley gets his shit pushed in by the big boys. This ain't Big 12 or PAC 12 little sisters of the poor.

But the problem again is, it doesn’t lock up the LA market. If the B1G wanted to the big power move it would’ve been SC and Stanford because it basically forces Notre Dame to join the conference which has been the ultimate goal for the B1G since WWII.I think it was two fold on why they chose UCLA. Once Portland and Seattle actually get minorities you may have a point but they are the whitest markets in the country. If you are black and live in Seattle you are either an athlete or in the military, in Portland you are an athlete.I made a joke in one of these threads about a new conference called the Socialist league referencing the Portland/Seattle mess. (I added Minnesota to that league to get Minneapolis as well).
Growing up, San Francisco used to be the liberal city everyone laughed at. Now SF seems tamed compared to Portland or Seattle.

USC All Time vs. current Big 10...74-29-3
I genuinely can’t wait to see USC playing somewhere like @ Iowa at night on a 35 degree day when it’s raining.I wonder who USC's new coach will be when Riley gets his shit pushed in by the big boys. This ain't Big 12 or PAC 12 little sisters of the poor.

WaitThis whole weather thing is being completely overblown.
The Rose Bowl is in Pasadena. The Coliseum is in the hood.I know it's about football, but I'd rather go to Pauley Pavilion in Westwood Village than the Coliseum in Pasadena
The 4-8 USC?
Having personally sat in multiple snow games over the past 10 years, I don't think it's extremely thin chances. Maybe at night, but basically any away game in November USC has the chance of this occurring. The odds of that happening are extremely slim. For one, the B1G doesn't schedule night games in November. There were only 2 night games in the month of November last year(both first weekend). Iowa at NW, where the temperature at kickoff was in the low 50's. And IU and Michigan where temperature at kickoff was in the mid 40's. Also, every year their last game of the season will be against UCLA in LA and every other year, its last two games will be in LA against UCLA and ND.
This whole weather thing is being completely overblown. Most years they will probably only being playing one road game in November in the midwest. If they have a schedule set up like they do this year, they'd be playing 0 in the midwest. Also, they played at ND last year on October 23rd. There isn't much difference in temperature between October 23rd and November 6th, if by the slim chance they have to play a night game in November.
