USC and UCLA planning to leave for B10 by 2024!

Outside of last year's game against OSU, do you remember the other games and when they took place in November? I can only think of 2 games that had snow last year and it was that game and the MSU/PSU game(both the very last game of the year). So that would be 2 out of 27 B1G games where it snowed.

It would be an oddity for them to play in the snow, in November, especially early in November. It just doesn't get that cold in early November in that part of the country. Every other year their schedule is going to look something like this for the 4 games in November: @B1G, vs. B1G, @UCLA vs. ND. You can switch the first two, but 3 out of 4 games are almost assuredly going to be in LA. I'm going to guess the league will do it's best not to have them play back-to-back road games at any point given the travel, so I doubt they will play @B1G and @B1G those first two weeks in November.
 
USC vs UCLA rivalry will be last weekend of November. That weekend would be highest potential for snow.
Even then it is a very low potential for snow across the Plains/Midwest, but will be played in LA. anyway so a zero chance.

Doesn't need to be snow either. Like I said in my post, 35 and rainy would do the trick. Off the top of my head, I sat through a Northwestern game in late November in like 2009 with Rich Rod, then an Indiana game in like 2015-ish where it snowed and then the OSU game last year where it snowed. But cold an rainy will suffice, and you can get that in the midwest any time beyond mid October.

I think you're moving the goalposts here.

Cold and rainy would effect both teams equally.

35° is actually ideal temperature for the players.
Not so much the fans.
 
BTW 35° is more likely to produce snow than rain.
It can snow at 38°.

It doesn't have to be below freezing (32°) to snow.

So 3 games in a span of 13 years? That's not a lot of times, which is my point. Lol.

Also, it being 35 degrees though is unrealistic. I don't feel like doing the research, but if I had to guess, I would say less than 5 B1G games had temperatures where it got to that point.

You're being pretty literal. Cold and rainy is bad for warm weather teams that rely on passing to speedy WRs.

SC plays in late October every year at ND. Not once had the weather permitted them from doing their game plan. They've lost at ND the last 5 times because they've sucked in large part, not because of the weather.

And rain is bad, regardless of the temperature for those types of teams. But it rains every month.

It's not that bad in early November. You're acting like it's in the mid-30's starting in mid-October. Lol.

maze&blew is just being his normal self with the mental gymnastics.

We've gone from the de minimis odds of playing in cold snow, to just playing in cold rain.

Even then, the late Nov game between USC/UCLA will be played in LA.

Yeah, not only is it being 35 degrees at kickoff a rare occurrence, they also won't have the number of games in the footprint that everyone else has. That drastically decreases the chances of them playing in snow/35 degrees and rainy.

This is Ann Arbor precipitation and average November temperatures.

Average of 2" of rain for the entire month.
Not even an inch of snow over the entire month and you can bet that's in the last week of the month when USC/UCLA will be playing in LA.

The average high (afternoons) in Ann Arbor is above 50° for the first two weeks of November. Only do you get to the final week of November when the average high is 41°.

That final weekend USC will be playing UCLA in LA.

Out of 21 days the odds of a snow or cold rain event on 3 Saturdays is de minimis.

Again, the 4th Saturday is USC/UCLA in LA.

But aren’t some of those snow games more comfortable than those played in dry, raw, blustery winds? We don’t get a lot of snow, but when we do it is often better than when a blue norther blows in!

Uh both usc and ucla made calls to the big ten independently of each other. Not together and not the big ten to the schools.

I know what happened. The B1G still CHOSE UCLA. Phil Knight and Oregon called the B1G too. The B1G CHOSE not to add Oregon or any other team at this point.

Gavin Newsom is still taking shots at the deal in his comments by insisting that the Governor's office and the state legislature will have a big role to play in how this all plays out. Seems UCLA does take a lot of state money to operate. I've seen several articles with information provided by UCLA that shows it is in the millions and millions of dollars. Hmmmm.

All the Oregon fans need to contribute to Newsom's re-election fund because he is their best shot of getting in the B1G.
