I agree, it does look bad, but at the same time, I can see why. They don't need it anymore and it will only make their schedule much tougher.Yeah, I would agree. If USC keeps playing ND, they will have a more difficult schedule. Riley is a little pussy so if course he wants to drop it. Even alumni and boosters have spoken out against it already. It looks really weak.
Also, I wouldn't say SMU's OOC schedule was easy. IU's absolutely was though.
If they have a year in the B1G where they don't play anyone, they can do exactly what Indiana did and skate into the CFP beating no one. Most years though -- they will have multiple big matchups.
It is tough for ND. They want the game because it is a big name program and will help them in recruiting in Cali, but it has to be worth for both of them.
